DaSilva conveniently leaves out 2 important facts in this piece. 1. AR was not getting targets even when open. And he was injured for half the season which obviously negatively impacted his stats. 2. These are things that I’ve kinda changed my opinion on after the re-watches, fwiw. Atwell can play at this level if used cleverly. I’d still prefer to have seen Humphrey drafted, of course, but Atwell can be quite effective on sweeps and catches all over the field. Powell is an effective RB and receiver when spelling the starter. Don’t go to sleep on Hopkins. I saw him many times blockiby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

To keep it as simple as possible, let’s make these assumptions: Rams keep both Ramsey and Floyd. Snead hasn’t brought in new outside FA’s but has extended Gaines and Scott. Snead can’t find a tradedown partner, so he must pick at 36 and 69.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
That pick at 36 is juicy, but the ‘experts’ say that this draft after top 15 picks is a bit of a plateau through at least 3rd round and maybe even only nitpicky differences down to 120 or so. If true, and if draft is loaded with positions that Rams need, why not trade down IF Snead can find a partner? Wouldn’t it be great to get 4 new starters from this draft? I, for one, fully expect at leby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
If Lake/Pleasant coach that secondary as well as I expect and if Snead acquires a CB high in this draft while Rams retain Ramsey AND Edge is upgraded as it surely will be, then Morris will be free to unleash the full potential of this D. If Morris still continues to use that ultra soft zone under those conditions then he will have nowhere to hide because he will have been fully exposed. OTOby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Two things, really. 1. I’ve rewatched several games in the last few days and I’ve gotta say that Hopkins has shown up well when given snaps. He blocks better than I remember and he catches balls thrown to him quite well despite lack of accuracy by Wolford and Mayfield. I honestly think he was underused and undertargeted for most of the season while sitting right there under the nose of McVay aby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
And could not have been more timely, too. I’m also cautiously optimistic about this new group as a whole, but only time will tell. My favorite hire? Probably Aubrey Pleasant despite his stumble in Detroit. I will say this. I definitely get the impression that McVay put a ton of thought and effort into these hires unlike he was able to last year. That bodes well for their future success.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

First, I freely admit to not being a draft guru, so take my comments with a large grain of salt. You addressed 5 Ram positions of need, so take a bow, sir! I loved the concept of multiple trades down but not too far so Rams can still get great value. I’m betting that Snead is hoping to do just that. I would prefer best available TE at pick 136. I would think that he would most benefit from HC’s like either McVay or Shanahan. IOW, become best that he can be for his eventual final team as starter. I kinda hope he will agree to be Rams backup for a year or two until Stafford retires. I do NOT want to face him twice a year for next 10+ years as a 49er. Sigh…by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

It was a revelation to watch what Rams could do with patchwork starters on both sides of the ball. Kinda renewed my faith in the roster potential on this team, tbh.
