Jourdan Rodrigue @JourdanRodrigue · Follow WRs Austin Trammell and Xavier Smith getting extra work on PR drills before practice starts. Expect to see a lot of those two in the preseason. Both have had good camps. 9:56 AM · Aug 8, 2023by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Here’s dpjax… Rams camp 8/8/23 made it out to camp today for the last practice in Irvine. JJ running drills on sidelines during 11 on 11s wearing number 43 Higbee seemed limited today My standouts - Witherspoon and Tomlinson on D. Kyren Williams and Puka on O. McVay stopped practice a couple times to gather everyone at midfield to coach them up. Ran practice about 20 minutes pasby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

Rams enter preseason at No. 29 in Touchdown Wire's power rankings Skyler Carlin Expectations are nearly non-existent for the Los Angeles Rams entering the 2023 season. With the first week of the preseason set to kick off, Touchdown Wire’s Jarrett Bailey has the Rams ranked at No. 29 in his preseason power rankings. After signing John Johnson III, Rams' next move has to be at edge rusher After years of offeason splashes, the Los Angeles Rams haven’t made a single one in 2023. They’ve helped other teams out by parting ways with players such as Jalen Ramsey, Bobby Wagner, Leonard Floyd and Allen Robinson, but they haven’t brought in a big name themselves. That’s most likely not going to change, whby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteLMU93 And over 2,600 in 2021. There is a lot of playing time to go around. I tend to doubt Johnson will come in 5 weeks before the season opener and be an every down player. I think they like how Yeast and Lake are coming along. They absolutely have room to have 3 safeties get significant playing time. Quotemtramfan I hear you re: secondary play improving and the ability to play less conservatively, less vanilla if you will. At the same time wht we do with the secondary will be domino 2 as plays develop. Domino 1 will be whether we have a pass rush tht can get home, disrupt QB timing, force hurried or offt-target throws. If so, corners can cover aggressively from LOS for, say, 2 seconds (deby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

Quotemtramfan I could take a crack at this based on what I've learned from JimYoungblood53, but I won't. I'll only say this: JJ will solidify the back end, but that won't magically produce an edge rush. Is it such a stretch to think that JJ gives our various D coaches other options to try in the secondary? I think that’s rather obvious. Question is, how will Rams use him? The need for imby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
And if they did push hard for it does it portend a different D philosophy in the works? And if it does, couldn’t that help out our D’s overall effectiveness? Not to mention watchability? Lol.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Here’s bubbaramfan… At today's TC (Sunday) Havenstien and Allen were given the day off. In 11 on 11, the first team OL was Noteboom LT, Avila LG, Shelton C, Anchrum RG and A Jackson RT. I believe the starting OL at this point is AJackson LT, Avila LG, Allen C, Anchrum RG and Havenstien RT. If Havenstien goes down I think AJackson would take his place and Noteboom would take over at LT. Noteby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Here’s So Ram… I will say this about JJ(43) 3 . The Rams got a nice Comp for him & Wade Phillips marked an X on him in the draft. Les Snead traded down & got him.He also was a Mentor to Jordan Fuller. Eric Weedle loved & mentored JJ. — If we’re talking Nick Scott & Taylor Rapp ? Those 2 were the backups.Rapp sat The Bench & Scott was a special teams player. 2020 - Staleyby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Here’s Oldnotdead… IMO this could signal a shift in scheme away from their customary Tampa Two zone scheme to more of a Quarters scheme as used by Staley. In that scheme the role of the FS is increased and his ability to read correctly is necessary due to his multiple coverage options. What this also means is if played correctly the coverage is man within a zone concept. It's why you don't wanby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

Jourdan Rodrigue @JourdanRodrigue · Follow OL combinations going to get interesting today. Havenstein, Allen both absent and I’m waiting to hear from team whether it’s a rest day for either/both. Bruss can play RT and bet they try Jackson and Noteboom both there - whoever loses LT will be swing tackle. 4:38 PM · Aug 6, 2023by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Jourdan Rodrigue @JourdanRodrigue · Follow the coach said at the time if he’s forced out of position it wasn’t going to be the same as finding plug and play Avila at 36 and then immediately playing him where he fits. Jourdan Rodrigue @JourdanRodrigue · Follow Reaction to this is a little surprising. This guy was competing out of his natural position because Rams had a self-inflicted need there back at that time. Here’s WestCoastRam… McClendon's been injured but McAllister has been getting some love and Zach Thomas has been the LG on the 2nd line for most of camp if I'm not mistaken.
