Wentz has looked very good in OTA's and has definitely changed his mechanics which has allowed him to get the ball out quicker. The practice you are talking about, it was raining heavily and weather conditions were not optimum for passing. It was his worst showing because he has very good thus far. Bradford missed him on a pass for a TD first. Next time he hit him for a TD and Bradford sprinted to the endzone to congratulate him and Lloyd side stepped him and refused to accept his congrats. QuoteRFIP "Pressure=picks. Coverage=sacks" To me that's a little to simple because you can have all the pressure in the world but if your back end isn't tight a good QB will find a soft spot. That said, Donald on Seattle would have crazy numbers imo. Have allowed a 66% comp rate to opposing qb's over his 3 seasons. You cannot quantify pressures. They still continued to have large contracts on the books on both sides of the ball while Wilson was in his inexpensive years. QuoteFlorida_Ram I agree that the Seahawks are not the NFC Power they've been in recent years but to put the "window is closing" label on them doesn't fly so much with me. Sure the Hawks Defense has gotten older and it might take another little step back again this year. Their O-Line needs to be fixed asap but so does 65% of the other NFL teams. Name a NFL team in the modern era that won anything with a DT as the highest paid player on the team. I'm like Belichek I don't get married to players other than a HOF quarterback who touches the ball on every play!! QuoteThere is not very many teams in history that have dominated the league and won a super bowl having the highest paid DT on their roster. Exactamundo!! Its not necessary and the great organizations don't do it. Especially for a DT that doesn't cause turnovers and is a petulant kid. Todd Gurley - I was making observations about Gurey in his rookie season that became more pronounced last season. For those that remember my "I'm more impressed with the Rams defense than Todd Gurley" post, know that I had issues with him then. Once the "college sized holes" stopped, so did his big runs.' Quotedzrams I understand the skepticism. I have some too although I’m choosing to be hopeful and optimistic. I think there is a great deal of uncertainty. From what I've seen of his college play I'm excited to see what he can do as well as Kupp. He looks like he has great hands, uses his body well to block out the DB, and has a "my ball" mentality on contested catches. So this is not limited to Cooper Kupp. Corner play in college has disintegrated to a point where its much more difficult to evaluate receivers, at least for ME.
