for the mad hustle you showed on the Goff pick to not only catch the defender but strip him. Had the Rams been in better position they could have recovered the fumble and gotten the ball back. QuoteNegatives 1st - I hate how flat the Rams came out... The Cowboys came out as if they were the team returning to LA the KO return was inexcusable and I don't care who was playing special teams...those kinds of things don't happen to good teams. Jeff Fisher will be with the Rams long term whether they go 7-9, 8-8 or 9-7 Los Angeles is familiar with misguided proclamations. There was Kevin Malone calling himself “the new sheriff in town” when he was hired as the Dodgers’ general manager. UCLA declared its hiring of Rick Neuheisel marked the end of USC’s monopoly of college football in the city. How did that work out?by laram - RamsFootballFans.com
I've never specifically said how good I think they are, I'm just not going to play the " if they were in this or that division" game. I'm from the Bill Patcells school of thought though...you are what your record says you are. Based on that they were pretty darn good. Quote9er8er The Vikings are the Vikings. The Rams do one thing well, and that's play the teams they're most familiar with in their division tough. They'd have finished 3rd last year in the NFC West and likely out of the playoffs. I really dislike when people make this type of claim. I'm really surprised by this response. Shocked actually. Have you ever seen my assessment of a Rams' rookie qb's performance in his first game? He showed very good composure for a rookie qb playing in his first pro game at home. His o-line was a sieve and his wr's were awful. Just another example of why stats fail in painting a picture of a players performance. Wentz was 12/24 89yds and 1 pick. Nothing special right? QuoteSpeed_Kills In the last several years alone teams win with timely or clutch QB play but with a great run game and nasty defense. AGREED That will be the Rams formula... Jeff Fisher has high expectations for Rams, just don't ask him about it Jeff Fisher is not making predictions. Not publicly at least. QuoteSaguaro Take a look at the circumstances last year. Quinn, in effect, either out or not really Quinn for the whole season. Ogletree out for almost the whole season. :wink2 But look at that schedule and think about either Keenum or a rookie qb staring down the barrel of a hostile environment against playoff caliber teams! I just don't see it.
