I think you missed my point.
It wasn't to make excuses for the kid, and I don't recall any IF's, but rather it was to highlight his composure.
He dealt with those deficiencies, but still maintained his composure.
That is integral for any qb, not to mention a rookie qb.
I have to agree that Wentz looked poised and showed he belonged out on the field in his first NFL preseason game. He showed what he did in his college game film. A Big Arm, Mobile and for a small sample size, looked worthy of the draft hype he received.
I also thought Lynch after getting sacked on his first ever career NFL play, brushed it off and looked very composed as well. Lynch and Wentz both have more powerful throwing arms than Goff and they showed glimpses of what made them 1st round worthy picks.
Still lots of snaps to watch them in the next few games but many people wouldn't be surprised to see one or both of them inserted in the starting lineup in the 2016 regular season if their teams starting QB's get off to slow starts in the first 4 or 5 games and or struggle leading drives for points etc.
Goff is up next and I will admit, I'm as nervous as excited because I went all in on JG after marathons of film review of all three of them.
If JG bombs in tonights game and next weeks game, I'm expecting a full board bashing and will personally cancel my film review/opinion sessions for college QB's. My Herd board rights should be revoked and suspended for the rest of the preseason
I enjoyed the post game interviews from Wentz and Lynch on their first NFL experience.
