Nobody is crowning him anything. All we have on either qb is their performance in preseason games. That's the information we have at the present and that is whats being graded.by laram - RamsFootballFans.com
Faulk's analysis excludes the most important factor IMO. For whatever reason(s) Prescott is processing information quicker than Goff is. I'm not going to go into why that is, for I'm sure there are a myriad of reasons, i.e., play calling, protection, scheme, etc. Goff is not seeing, and releasing, he's hesitant. Prescott has looked far more comfortable with his reads than Goff has. Iby laram - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteBobCarl Quotelaram Scrambling and maneuvering the pocket is Rodgers strong suit. He has never been known as a traditional pocket passer. to me Rogers method of scrambling doesn't look anything like Favre ... do you think Favre mentored Rogers on how to scramble? We probably should start there. And what do you mean they don't look the same, scrambling is scrambling isn't it?by laram - RamsFootballFans.com
Paxton Lynch won’t wait long to play quarterback for the Broncos By NICK GROKE | ngroke@denverpost.com PUBLISHED: August 30, 2016 at 4:38 pm | UPDATED: August 30, 2016 at 10:51 pm The Broncos used a first-round draft pick on quarterback Paxton Lynch, then told him to wait. QuoteFavre and Rogers are two different QBs .... I don't see Rogers scrambling and ad-libbing like Favre did ... Rogers doesn't throw across his body and off balance ... Farve never tutored him how to do that successfully ... thus Rogers doesn't even try to play like Favre. Rogers is great in his own way .. he is not great in great in the way Favre's was. I don't think Favre had anything to do with Rodgers physical skills, which are what really set him apart. Plus they had a pretty contentious relationship, so I dunno how much help he was. Aaron Rodgers looks like he was born to play qb. Goff? I'm not sure.by laram - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRockRam Dang LA. Now I have to go back and watch the games again to watch Higbee block (or lack thereof, which is your perspective). Hope it is not QUITE as bad as you paint it. If it is as bad, I wonder if it has anything to do with his knee not being fully healed. I think he favors it just a bit.by laram - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteAnd Higbee looks like he has excellent hands, route running and of course size. Groh is already using him in more creative ways than Schottenheimer or Cignetti ever would have. How? I haven't seen them do anything special with Higbee, can you give me an example of what you mean? Btw, didn't both Cook and Kendricks have their best year(s) under BS?by laram - RamsFootballFans.com
But Kendricks hands are very unreliable. We had another thread going where it reflected how often the Rams run 11 personnel. That's one tight end. They often run out of that look. Remember Cook in that role? That would be Higbee. You need two blocking tight ends.by laram - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteGroh said Higbee has a ways to go as a blocker, but could become an immediate asset for Goff and Case Keenum as a receiver. Yes he does, and as I said yesterday he couldn't block Rock Ram. I watched him and it was really quite disturbing because blocking is a mindset, its a want to. Tough guys block. I'll be interested to see what he's made of.by laram - RamsFootballFans.com
Of course you can evaluate an individual, but even that has its limits. You don't totally know how each individual part will work as a unit. Thats why my entire retort, was unit based, in response to your assertions regarding certain units. Evaluating individual players is a totally different animal, and some do that better than others. As much as we know now? Not much at all. We hby laram - RamsFootballFans.com
First I don't know how anyone could arrive at any conclusions on units abilities based on very limited action in the preseason. The Rams starters (whoever they are) on defense or the offensive line have not even played together in the preseason. We just saw Rodger Scaffold get his butt whipped at right tackle, a position he won't even be playing when the season starts. On defense who areby laram - RamsFootballFans.com

Show the world that had written you off what you can do!! That ear hole release looks just like Carson Palmer. Fight on!!by laram - RamsFootballFans.com
Drops aside, Goff's internal clock is slow right now, he's late with his reads and the game is obviously a huge transition for him. Goff has not played a lot with the one's but he's also not playing a lot against the one's. I'm not going to compare him against Keenum because for me that's a low bar. Looking at Goff on his own merit, it's painfully obvious he has a ways to go yet. Basiby laram - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteFlorida_Ram Quotelaram It's really no surprise to me that he's not ready, I didn't expect him to be. This better be a play for the long game. It better be a situation where they're willing to forego immediate gratification for 10-15 years of stability at the position. This is the kinda play that can get them fired for sure. Quote9er8er If Goff is really so far away that not even an organization that literally risked everything on him can see their way to putting his name on the marquee over (and this is the critically important part here) Case Keenum's in their prime time return to LA against their arch rival, what does it truly say about the wisdom of risking everything on this guy in the first place?
