but its about how important sport (any) can consume people (in this case an entire town) who feel lost and how tragic that can lead to. And if you enjoy hockey it only adds to it.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
Anyone watching the HBO episodes? One of my all time favorite books (fiction). The series, with English subtitles, hits all the major points and is done very well. There is a sequel to the book titled "Us Against You" but I don't know if it will make it to the tv. The author Backman has written several best sellers including "A Man Called Ove". Simply put, you don't have to believe "beyond a shadow of a doubt" to believe Hagler won the fight. It's not a criminal case so the debate accepts the civil standard which is "more likely than not" which is not the same as "beyond a shadow of a doubt".by waterfield - Bucky's Pub

lasted just three rounds. Hagler v Hearns. Grew up when prize fighting was big. However, I never saw anything like those three rounds in all the years I watched those Friday night fights from Madison Square Garden. (" To look shard, da da da da"-the old Gillette commercial song still rings in my head). Hagler also won his last fight against Leonard before retiring. Having a father who was Canadian and many relatives living in Ontario I also have opinions but my post was an attempt to answer why the subject of the Monarchy is so interesting to many.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
Much like Camelot was to the Kennedys the affairs of the Crown are to the monarchy. Personally, I find it all fascinating with the one exception of the tabloid's 'attack on members of the royal family. When you consider our existence as a country has its roots in the British Empire, the trials and tribulations of the monarchy are irresistible-at least to me. The British Monarchy's origin goesby waterfield - Bucky's Pub
IMO Everett got pissed and acted accordingly Rhome just egged him a little too far. But Everett wasn't about to go all out in a brawl with the smart ass kid on tv. If it was staged by now someone on the production staff or anyone else associated with the show or even members of the families of the two would have come out and said it was. Right now its just opinions and they, including mine, don'tby waterfield - RamsFootballFans.com

Me too. Old abandoned buildings do the same for me. I try and imagine all the things that would be going on when they were full of people and the trails those people would lead. In my first full time job I investigated disability claims. In so doing I had to verify a family death. The old home was abandoned and there were rusted toys and a broken swing in the back yard. That's if you have time. Both of my hospitalizations began in the emergency room because of the severe pain I was having. If indeed it is suspected pancreatitis the hospital treatment itself -at least for me-was rather benign. Just rest, very limited nourishment, small amounts of water, and careful watching by nurses until the inflammation "dies down". What's tough is doing what yourby waterfield - Bucky's Pub
A good diet is always better for your health. Pancreatitis is most often caused by alcohol which triggers the inflammation. In the hospital they shut down my digestive system until the inflammation went away. That meant very limited intake of nourishments. This was after ultrasound testing of the gall bladder-which did show I had what they call a "dirty gall bladder" or "sludge&quoby waterfield - Bucky's Pub
Pancreatitis, whether acute or chronic can be very serious. I was in a hospital for almost a week diagnosed with pancreatitis brought on by gallstones and alcohol abuse-the two principal causes of pancreatitis. Simply put, it is an inflammation of the pancreas which if not addressed can be fatal.. Your symptoms are precisely the same as mine happened to be at the time. In every crime novel that involves a murder there is an underlying "who done it" question. I just thought since you enjoyed Bosch you would find familiarity and enjoy the stories upon which many of the Bosch episodes were based.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
read some of Michael Connelly's books. They are all based on true crime reports out of the Hollywood Homicide Robbery Division of the LAPD. Connelly was a reporter assigned to the division and learned the lingo. The books formed the basis for the TV series "Bosch".by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
whatever causes you to feel stressed caused by physical effort can be duplicated by chemicals. Your heart works the same no matter what causes the impulse.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
That's true. If you can't do the treadmill your level of exertion won't rise to the level that can measure the heart. I've only had one chemical and the others were always on the treadmill.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
The chemical test is not a mental test. It's a physical reaction test similar to the treadmill. The chemicals make your body feel that it's been on a treadmill.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
I've done both the treadmill and chemical. The treadmill you expect to get tired and stressed with somebody saying faster, faster. But with the chemical your simply sitting there have a calm conversation when you begin to feel something weird and then snap-it's like you've run a marathon. Your brain just can't comprehend what's happening. I think I prefer the treadmill.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
