We did. He didn't have the pure athletic ability (jumping from the sand) that others did-but he didn't need to. OTOH he didn't just stand there as some might imagine. He actually played beach ball-which ain't easy given the sand and all. Those were the days when there were no artificial stands erected and no charges to watch. People sat on the sand or on beach towels, free. The tournaments wouldby waterfield - Bucky's Pub

I was concentrating on making a tube steak for dinner. In any event I still never heard of shocking the tub. Although sometimes at night I will get in the spa "commando" and I'm sure its shocking to the spa. ha,ha,ha-no?by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
I guess that is what happens when you use a pool service. I have no idea what they put in our pool and jacuzzi. Just told to stay out of the water for a while.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
I thought most states were fairly uniform in their DUI laws. At least as far as punishment. I know of know states where one can have multiple DUI convictions and not serve jail time and or lose their license to drive for a significant time. Where the laws may differ is how the blood alcohol numbers mandate "driving under the influence". That means there is a presumption of guilt and thby waterfield - Bucky's Pub

We lived in Manhattan Beach for the first 5 yrs of our marriage. Your right that's where it all began. Some of the players I remember were Ron Lang and Keith Erickson (UCLA basketball) at MB tournaments in the early 60s. Here is an interview with Lang you might find interesting.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
Beach volleyball ? Extremely popular here in So Cal. I think it may have begun here back in the late 50s or early 60s. Then a party atmosphere but now very commercialized. My wife played in college. My surgeon asked what kind of skier I was. I told him. He said stay off the slopes. He's probably right. Knee replacements are tricky because of all the articulating parts. Hips are much easby waterfield - Bucky's Pub
My son raced for College of Idaho and our grandson (16) now races in the Far West Ski competitions. Me? Two hip replacements my ortho says keep off the slopes. If one goes out in a fall your in a lot of trouble. His words and he's a skier. So, I'll stick to the ocean. If I recall the gondola at Sunrise was a long, long, ride to the top. Again, that was in 88. My wife and I had only a couple ofby waterfield - Bucky's Pub
Went to the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary. Arrived a week before opening ceremonies and skied Sunshine and Lake Louise. At Lake Louise we skied alongside (nearby) the Swiss Alpine team that was training. Sunrise was spooky with very high winds at the top and limited (at least then) lifts to get people down after they closed the mountain.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
but do you go outside at all ? Coldest i ever experienced was -14 F outside of Anchorage on a sunny day getting out of the car to look at a glacier. I wish I hadn't.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
I thought about that as well. But since people react differently to an identical bug I doubt the logic follows.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
I think the problem is a lack of critical analysis. State an issue and people jump to an "opinion". No questions asked. Don't need to-got social platforms and talk radio to do my analysis-easy peasey. Leave the real analysis to those educated types.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub

I think that's it. Yesterday, was the 2d day after the shot and I used it as an excuse to spend most of the day in bed. I did have muscle soreness, chills, and very tired. Today better. No excuses so have to get up and do "stuff".by waterfield - Bucky's Pub

2d shot yesterday. Today small case of chills, muscle soreness, general aches and pain and my left ear seems much larger than the right now. I'm told that these signs mean my body is doing what it supposed to be doing to generating the anti-bodies.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
Where we live the two main ones are Moderna and Pfizer. We took the Pfizer vaccine-you know-the one for the more intelligent crowd. Which one did you take? Tomorrow will be the big day since whatever ill effects-fever, fatigue, muscle soreness, chills, etc, is supposed to show up on the 2d day and go on for 2-3 days. Will let you know.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
Most people I know, including my wife and I, experienced no ill effects from the first shot. That is the norm from what my doc says. He also said the 2d shot is the one that people will most complain of-not sure I understand why. In any event we had our 2d shot this morning and so far no symptoms.by waterfield - Bucky's Pub
Even before the Packer Chiefs game at the Coliseum ( small crowd for the first SB) the NFL Championship games were for fans of the two teams. Today the same NFL Championship games are called "Super" Bowls and are for everyone. Just the word "super" tells you this would be all about money. And I'm not against the extravagance either unless the Rams are in it-then its all aboutby waterfield - Bucky's Pub
