That if he says it I trust it. I do think he is top 5 as far as HC goes, no doubt....but he sure didn't look so great when picking to stay with Pickens and Wolford. I still think he really has no feel for ST's......No oone really knows what went into this decision....did he choose between Wenzt and JG? Do we know that...did Wentz enter the choice...did Wentz say thanks, but no thanks? There wasby roman18 - RamsFootballFans.com
I just remember when JG was playing against us he'd have guys open down field and miss the pass more than make it . Wentz is a big guy, he'd have the big arm.(I know...Brees had a great long ball, so does Mr. Cardinal, both smaller guys), but JG...he just doesn't, I don't think he ever did. If not for his injuries (Wentz) there is no way JG would be any where near him in stats...The comparisonby roman18 - RamsFootballFans.com
but of course that doesn't matter does it? I can't say well he's miles better than Perkins, Wolford or Rypien.....because that's a weak response...I mean really you could say that about maybe 50 QB's......I just think Wentz was the better option because I think he has a more lively/stronger arm, is much more adaptable off schedule. JG may be a locker room type guy, but I saw/heard nothing aby roman18 - RamsFootballFans.com
It kinda is pissing me off, so I'll leave out......the last game of the year he out played Goff.....377 yards.....beat up sure thing....by roman18 - RamsFootballFans.com
when you , me or anybody knows how 2024 ends up? Saying Matthew is old and beat up isn't true, there is no realism in that. Saying the team is no where near being a SB team isn't being realistic. I am not saying they a SB either, but I am seeing what they have and in my eyes they have a lot of talent AD not withstanding. I also thought they had more than a lot of people had last season too, evby roman18 - RamsFootballFans.com
it just kinda opens up so much if you go to players who played with the RAMS but came from or went elsewhere.....It kinda hones it down a bit if it's RAMS who came in and retired RAMS.....Like your guys you mentioned you could think of Hacksaw, Fletcher, etc......a lot of great players and people. Meador was an all decade guy, many times pro bowl, all pro, INT. guy......He should IMO be in theby roman18 - RamsFootballFans.com
who only played for the RAMS...that's tough, You'd have to replace Deacon......I just can't think of too many who only wore the HORNS....maybe Cromwell? Eddie Meador would be worthy IMO......Youngblood, Olsen, AD, Cromwell or Meador....?by roman18 - RamsFootballFans.com
This is bad, that is bad, this is getting bad, this is done, that is rotten, he's a bum, he's beat up, this guys done that guys finished, this guy, that guy....negative this, negative that...... You can't get a single positive thing out of what I wrote, or for that matter what anybody writes......I really try to get something out of what everyone writes on this board, some good ideas and thougby roman18 - RamsFootballFans.com
The continuing saying that Cooper, Matthew and Aaron are/were the load bearing walls may not be all together true....Look at last year if the 3 are considered the walls we actually had 2 walls and a planter wall....Cooper was not a constant last year. Now when we looked worse was the packer game, that's the game we played without Matthew. I think the other 2 walls played. As big as Aaron is, asby roman18 - RamsFootballFans.com
he had 137 sacks, but it took 14 seasons and 219 games......AD...154 games and 10 seasons. Randle had 26 more sacks but over 65 more games and 4 more seasons to get there.by roman18 - RamsFootballFans.com
He's seems like the guy that got pumped up with that type stuff. IMO he would have not wanted to continue playing IF the double/triple teams became one on ones, or even being over looked. Double/triple teams for him was/is a badge of honor. He left the game for his own reasons, don't think it was money issues. Maybe he looked at Fletcher Cox leaving, Hendo leaving, Raheem leaving...... IMOby roman18 - RamsFootballFans.com
It's been said by me and others he was injured in the 1/4 of the season. He had groin issues and played through them.. Before that happened he was one of the top rated CB's in the league in several areas. His hit on him was actually he is a very good CB, but he has had injuries in his career. You keep making it sound as though he just started slacking off as the season went on.by roman18 - RamsFootballFans.com
They have Young, 8 sacks last year and he really didn't know what was up...very limited techniques, You have Jones who is a very good pass rusher from the inside backer spot....Lake can do some as well, Curl ...does he have the ability, I know he's a good tackler. Turner, Young will be better. If Brown continues his upward play this year he can be a block eater for Turner, even get some hitsby roman18 - RamsFootballFans.com
He is a good ST player, maybe actually the only one we have...LOL.....He isn't a game breaker, but guys like that are the ones who make a team a solid team. Now I wish they got Cashman to go with Jones in the middle, but......there's a lot of things to wish for. He's really worked hard, from a basic walk on type pro player to finding a way to stick and now making himself a resign....good for hiby roman18 - RamsFootballFans.com
The RAMS would be in bigger S$%^ if Matthew retired right now. AD was a one time force, whoever they get to fill the spot on the field isn't going to do everything he did. Turner is a great player who is going to improve over last year. As a matter of fact I think the way the guy is wired it'll be double the effort from him. They'll fall off some on D, but I really think it won't be as much asby roman18 - RamsFootballFans.com
8-10 or maybe more is what they'll need for the draft?by roman18 - RamsFootballFans.com
I see no reason why not...I really think football and the players around him are a major block of his life. When he goes he doesn't seem to be coach material or commentator for that matter, so football will leave a big hole IMO. Family life, maybe gyms for a business will be his work....by roman18 - RamsFootballFans.com
very good move and he will help a lot on the very back end......They really are/have worked hard on their board in FA, which also assists on their board for the draft...a lot.by roman18 - RamsFootballFans.com
Gives insights into his actual life issues while playing ball. His ideas of living life and what he went through. From being a functional alcoholic, to his disappointment with Dickerson's contract issues to his marriage problems. His highs and disappointments overall. It's a short read and I recommend it to get a better sense of the man himself rather than just appreciating his great abilitieby roman18 - RamsFootballFans.com
Oh well, I missed out yet again....LOL......by roman18 - RamsFootballFans.com
that is why it's taking this long, if it was a restructure I would think it would go much faster, if not already done. I see no sense in trying to stretch out his money with a restructure as he is and will always be a backup with injury issues as well.. New contract, much less money and for no more than 2 years....more like a 1 year deal 5/6 million?by roman18 - RamsFootballFans.com
as a swing, backup player. At his tendered cost that would be a steal IMO.by roman18 - RamsFootballFans.com
LOL......I don't know about the legend of Wentz.....outside of him playing well above average when healthy, I wouldn't consider that a legend. What I recall of Jimmy Jesus was he could walk on water but never won when it ultimately mattered. The media at one time was Jimmy this and that...LOL..... I don't dislike the idea of getting him, but IMO he'll be asking a lot more than what I think weby roman18 - RamsFootballFans.com
The TD to I think Puka was a damn hard pass to place. The guy has a live arm, you gotta remember as #2 he isn't working with the 1st team, the only time he was doing that was that week of practice before the whiners. Him sitting on his couch (and he wasn't) he was doing activities he loves, hunting etc..... Just because teams ignored him shows nothing about his abilities, he sure looked at hby roman18 - RamsFootballFans.com
when he has a real bad injury. He probably had his head in a bad place, the guy lives football. If he's in a bad place what kind of encouragement could he bring? I don't think that's being selfish, that's being real IMO.by roman18 - RamsFootballFans.com
You really think that way about him, being self centered? He was skipping along with Turner last year, he wasn't moping around when Turner was tieing his rookie record, he was right there encouraging him. I would think you'd come up with he has inside info of a trade coming down for Josh Allen ....LOL..... The guy has more than made his money, I think he loves the locker room, I think that iby roman18 - RamsFootballFans.com
I think most/all these people grade on who THEY wanted, then determine that usually their pick would have been better.by roman18 - RamsFootballFans.com
I just can't get my head around that crapa$$ helmet he used to wear. I am not a Wentz all the way guy, but I do think he would be cheaper that Jimmy, and I don't think anyone is knocking on his door, I also think the RAMS have been in contact with him for a while now.by roman18 - RamsFootballFans.com
and if the revamped line protects and the run game clicks that's very possible. Now why would you want to have Fields as a backup for that period+ pay him. Would he want to be a 3 year backup? Would he want to be a 1 year backup? Nobody is going Wentz's way...he'll be there when the RAMS ring him up, heck they may have already made those plans with him, I think that's a done deal.by roman18 - RamsFootballFans.com
and I think it was actually later in the year, not half season. You also need to take into consideration the other guys in the back end would at times be out of place leaving him without back help.by roman18 - RamsFootballFans.com
