Lots of people use the acronym IDK but everytime I ask someone what is stands for they tell me, "I don't know."by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Coach Fisher was a mediocre HC, he was not a total failure. Yes, he sucked for us but didn't he also bring us Aaron Donald? Don't get me wrong; I was glad to see him go but there's been much worse coaches than him. You should have seen the parade of bad coaches in Detroit!by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
1) Most every job has stress and the harder you push the more stress you're going to experience. McVay pushes hard, as a good coach should, and he's endured a lot of stress. He's also young and has made some key mistakes and the learning curve is difficult and stressful. We should recognize his stress and understand it is easier for a hard driving guy to get burned out. 2) McVay is wealthby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Hell no, A lot of people have far more difficult jobs in life and they have to suck it up year after year. He needs to decide to either be all in or all out. Either way is fine by me, but a lukewarm coach, with one foot in and one foot out, without being double minded tossed about by the waves of doubt, is not wanted. He needs to choose what's best for him and his family and I support that,by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
It's always a pleasure to read your work Aly so thank you for putting in the time and energy for doing it. I think it is a real nice contribution to our board and it is so much better than the simplistic reviews other boards present.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Yes, that guy is probably more responsible for the Lions' success than their HC. He works with his player's abilities and strengths and doesn't force them to play with their weaknesses. I learned as a manager long ago that you give assignments to people who have the ability or strength to match the assignment. You don't force a square peg into a round hole. Some managers and coaches let theirby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Since when are you allowed to be cautiously optimistic? That's my turf if at all. You're supposed to be flagrantly optimistic! I expect you to predict that the Rams will go 15-2 next year and win the SB again. I'm even thinking that.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
He's played very well. I think a number of us here would like to keep him.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
At first I thought, "Yeah, that's definitely a fumble!" but after the reviews I thought the call was a good one. He did have control of the ball when his knee hit the ground. He began to lose it after the hit but regained control.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Cam has proven himself to be a dedicated workhorse starting with the SB win. I wondered what McVay's big problem was with him earlier in the year. I wonder if it had more to do with McVay's ego than with Cam's performance. Again, not a good look for McVay. You can see when Cam runs that he's really trying to get extra yardage. I also have questions about why Hendo got dumped so quickly,by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
You human! You're just like the rest of us! Cut yourself some slack. Not the first time, not gonna be the last time. Welcome to the herd!by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
BM may not be the savior but he's done pretty good. The team played pretty good today. They may not win any more games but I'm still positive and hopeful. These ain't the Fisher years. This is Dodge City and maybe McVay is Bill Hickok.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
The Oline should definitely continue to be the priority. Even if we win out I hope that doesn't change. Yeah, if they can keep Mayfield they should. It'd be stupid not to, not after what he's shown. Other posters have said he'll want too much money to stay and that may be the deciding factor why we lose him. But he's head and shoulders better than our other 2 backups. Great performance todaby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, looks like Cam can run the ball. I still think we need to get a bigger feature back.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
My knowledge is outdated but not too long ago it was well established that playing on astro-turf led to injuries. So-Fi has a new type of synthetic turf but I wonder if it is behind the rash of injuries. I've really wondered why they went with fake turf knowing that it causes more injuries. Maybe this new turf is not as good as advertised. James and 43 have made some good observations butby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Eagles first, Lions 2nd. Imagine Goff winning a SB! Oh the drama we'll have!by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
43, There's nothing to be worried about in stating that McSnead are overrated. They've been very very good but not quite elite. Give em time. I'm hoping that McVay stays on and continues to learn, mature, and grow. I don't believe there are many who could fill his shoes.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I know some on this board don't like reading about ex-Rams players and I get that. I don't like it when we do the woulda-shoulda-coulda reliving of a key loss that we could have one. It's history, we lost, move on. But since I live in the Detroit area and I like Goff, and some other Ram fans have followed him, I wanted to highlight that he led his team on a long drive with just a couple minuby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
There are a lot of hits and misses in the draft and beginning in the 3rd round misses begin to increase. Yet I wonder about how quickly McVay kicks guys to the curb. Hendo carried this team for a while as our only feature RB. Lewis made some great plays last season. I don't like how quickly McVay dumps guys who have proven to have talent, especially in the midst of a difficult season. It casby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com

Atwell has one good game, Creed made the all-rookie team. Huge difference. I hope Atwell shines and does great but I lament the failure of missing out on Creed.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Ben Johnson became the new OC and his focus was on empowering Goff to be his best. Johnson watched some of the good work Goff did in LA and incorporated what he was good at in the Lion's offensive scheme. I think it could be stated as: the play calling plays to Goff's strengths. He's having Goff do what Goff was already good at doing, like play-action, and building on that. Perhaps thaby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
1) The last time the Lions were in their playoff I believe their record was something like 9-7. Of course, having stupid management, they fired their coach, Jim Cauldwell, that year. He took them to the playoffs and they kicked him to the curb. Typical Ford ownership. 2) Yes! Detroit was rooting for the Rams. One local store, on a lark, had 100 or so "Detroit Rams" tee shirtsby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm glad for Goff and the Lions. It's amazing here now. A few weeks ago the talk radio pundits wanted to take the Lions out to the woods, did a ditch, and bury the team. Now they're all jazzed up and excited! And for what? A team with a terrible record, a dufus HC, and a history of disappointment. Yet they are so happy. Beating the Vikings was their Superbowl. It's strange but I feel theiby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
When I heard that Mayfield could start I was pissed off and disappointed. "There is no way a washed up QB can contribute to this team, so why not play Perkins and give him more exp?" This was going to be such a desperate, stupid, and bad move by McVay. LOL. It's a great thing I am not on their coaching staff.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Most fans could see that our backup QBs weren't that good, however, McSnead seemed to be Captain Oblivious. This year they've had a rude awakening but perhaps were fortunate to get BM. If Mayfield wins out the rest of the year, or performs at a high level, I'd hope that the Rams are wise enough to keep him. He's still young, playoff experienced, tasted some highs and lows, and seems to be beby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Hey, Despite this poor season haven't the Rams been a factory of joy for us during the last 5 or so years? 2SB appearances - 1 win, a couple other playoff appearances and good seasons. Even at this point in time I'm still enjoying the overall bump up the Rams have had since McSnead started. Ain't no sky falling here. OTOH, remember, I live in the dreary Detroit area where fans eat lunchby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
that was so nice.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Big, but not big enough. I'd like someone big enough to frequently injure defensive players when he hits them hard, like Akers did to Baker last year.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
