I think they may have "reached" for the TE in round 2 a bit but they loved the guy and targeted him and did a an extra pick in a trade down. But other than that all the picks seem to be at a reasonable range of value and the 4th round WR Reynolds was considered great value by many. I like the draft and like how McSnead were in lock step on the picks. We will see how well they are cby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Rock Totally agree with your analysis. We hit out biggest needs and got guys that Coach had a detailed vision for and was totally excited about. We are pretty solid on OL and DL and we have depth. DB, LB & offensive weapons are what is on the shopping list.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I listened to their interview and you could tell that the offensive players excite the coach and that he was very involved in the picks. These guys are smart and have played 4 years and will be more ready to go this year than what we have seen in the past. Les Snead probably made the decision to trade down I think he excels in this area now but will always remember Bobby Wagner. I also likeby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
St Louis was in default of the contract for the stadium. Arbitrator Agreed. St. Louis did not negotiate in good faith as they made an initial ridiculous proposal that was laughable. St Louis signed a bad deal and essentially defaulted on execution of the deal. If St. Louis did not default on the deal the Rams would have had to stay in St. Louis. Rams had an escape clause in the deal forby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
You never know how much is true but it does seem that we had a coaching problem and that the team lacked unity. The offense was out of date and the players were not all committed and not all in shape. It will be interesting to see how the new coaching staff handles things. It will also be telling how much was Snead and how much was Fisher.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I think early in the draft that Fisher would be heavily involved while late in the Draft and for UDFA it would be all Snead. Signings or failing to sign players I think was Fisher/Demoff & they have been questionable. Free Agents: I think Fisher had final say. Overall direction: Fisher/Demoff Managing and Developing players: Fisher Type of Players to Draft: Fisherby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
1. He came from a spread offense so there is a huge learning curve 2. He is really young 21, he is still physically maturing 3. The coaching staff did not design offense around his strengths There are a lot of positives but there is also a lot of projection. Problem with Fisher/Snead is they are always looking long term not for the current season's success. They took to many high poteby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
This is a Demoff decisionby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
We do seem to have a coaching problem. We seemed to let our foot off the gas yesterday and lost our aggressiveness on defense. On offense we had some stupid plays by Kendricks and Grob that really hurt us but it seemed like we had no plan to loosen up the defense. We let them stack the box all day long. I think we tried 1 long pass all day long. This team has talent, we have a great defeby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Keenum will be a FA with a value of $3M which is pricey. Mannion will be the guy and he is ready to be the backup and he is signed. Look for us to add a developmental guy for training camp.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
They should play either Goff or Mannion. It is time to get those guys experience and if Goff is not ready we should put Mannion in. This will be Case last year with the Rams and he isn't helping us win now.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Snead made the trades to get all those picks.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com

I have been a Fisher supporter but it may be time for a change of QB and coach.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
The facts are correct except for the fact that you blame Snead. Bradford doesn't get traded unless Fisher wants him to be traded Bradford doesn't get traded unless Demoff wants him to because he would not resign to a team friendly contract Foles does not sign extension unless Fisher says he is the QB of the future Demoff does the contracts not Snead Snead is the thing the Rams haby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Keenum did okay for a back up but if our starter is ready it is time to put him in.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotejoram cutting a 3.5 million mistake period I think that the way they structured the contract that there is little to no dead money for next year. I always thought his signing was a reachby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I think we have the players to be elite but we have to stay healthy. DL Arguable the best in the league and with good depth LB: Top unit with 2 standouts and 1 up an coming player. DB: Weak at FS but good starters and depth at CB and SS. We are relatively healthy except for Hayes. Gaines was great good to have him back. May have issues with a great power running game. I totally agree that Goff needs to play and play well. Keenum I think is better than Clemens and Davis and about equal to Hill. Keenum biggest attribute is that he minimizes mistakes better than the others. He is a 2nd stringer that you can win a few games with but he is not what you want in a starting QB. Goff will probably have a few growing pains but he will also make plays and seeby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
He is only a 2nd year guy and he just seems to get better and better. Brain fart at the end? Okay but for him it was desperate times and there were no good choices. Looks like Tampa Bay made the right choice though both he and Marcus look like winnersby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams43 Any win is a good win, 'cause they all count the same. If you had told me the the Rams would somehow score 37 points today, I would have thought you were certifiable. We got this win without Gaines, Cooper, or Spruce. And Sims was ejected early plus Hayes injured an ankle and missed significant snaps, further exhausting our DL. Quick made some nice plays on O. Pinch me! Thby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Fisher is going to do it his way. If he had Wentz or Prescott he would still be starting Keenum Goff may be a bit behind Wentz initially as he came from a spread offense and Wentz came from a pro style offense. That however does not mean Wentz will be bettter long term. Keenum at best allows us to win ugly, he has trouble picking up the blitz, misses the open receiver, and has little inby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I think it is all about preparing Goff and while they like Mannion their focus in on preparing Goff to be the starter and he will grow and learn more as the number 2. Keenum is there to see if they can win a few games before Goff takes over and the main goal is for Goff to be successful when he finally gets the start. It would not surprise me if Keenum has issues in the next game or 2 or 3by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I am glad you and your dad can share about the Rams enjoy it. I agree that Fisher wants to baby Goff for as long as possible but I doubt it is for the entire year. If Keenum can't lead the team to a TD soon the Rams will be forced to make a change. The question is who do they go to? If they still don't think Goff is ready and Keenum continues to fail do they go to Mannion? I keep hby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree with your thoughts. I will add that Joyner was a real positive today. It is great t see Quinn getting back into becoming a dominate player again. Offensive Line a big disappointment. Keenum is a low end game manager and a decent backup. We need to focus on getting Goff or Mannion ready to start and soon.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteBlue and Gold who struggled early, then hit some clutch throws. Great win by defense. Keenum has been terrible for 2 straight games. Time to make a change!!!by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Wow I am not on the same page as you are. Keenum looks like he may play to his ceiling which is an okay game manager. Oline seems to be much better and is deep Gurley and RB seem to be rocking it. TE might be okay like the new prospects WR: At least we added some youth in Spruce, Cooper and Thomas Offense should be a lot better and I am not worried about Goff being brought aloby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Right on I feel very much the same as you do. No mention of the secondary? Not sure how I feel about the secondary anyway though I expect that Mo will get suckered a few times.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
