Very nice post, Canuck. No question that Snead can find more than his fair share of UDFA gems. And this year could be a bumper crop.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
This will sort itself out by opening day. Like many others, I favor starting the QB that gives us the best chance to win that first game. Gotta trust Fisher on this.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Well, Craig, I'll just say this. I'm gonna go out on a limb and project that neither Rhaney nor Donnall are mortal locks to make the 53. Lol.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Here's BonifayRam... I still have some concerned. Why did GRob get better late into the 2015 season? This question should have a few different takes flying in here for the more detailed fans...... The bad & the ugly Grob opened is 2nd NFL season as a assigned starter @ OLT. GRob opened the season with four games next to another young OL'er & a rookie Jamon Brown. Brown looked reaby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
OXNARD, Calif. -- Confused by the Dallas Cowboys' backup quarterback plan? It’s OK. You should be. In January, finding a backup to Tony Romo was a high priority, especially after their 1-11 record without Romo in 2015. Free agency came and went with the Cowboys unwilling to pay what it took to land Chase Daniel or any other available veteran. They visited with Matt Moore, but he opted to rby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotemax Higbee is the best bet to be a major contributor among the rookies. I'm not expecting much from any others, including Cooper. Disagree, max. Wouldn't surprise me one bit to see Cooper starting in the slot. In fact, I kinda expect it.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Aside from the obvious Goff, Higbee is my clear favorite rookie so far. Not even close, actually. Not only will he stick, but he will start and likely become a star at TE. But there are certainly others that are impressing. In no particular order... Cooper (yeah, he's missed time due to hamstring, I know) Thomas Spruce Williams And those are just the WR impressive rookies! Greenby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
And believe me, it's much appreciated by one and all. But ANY camp reporter has only one set of eyeballs and there is so much to watch that can be distracting. So it's easy to understand how two or more camp reporters could come away with two opposing impressions of the play of any given practice player. One reporter only sees a good play and another reporter only sees a bad play by the same pby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteDrew2839 Boy, he sure seems to be in high spirits! Think he's happy to be back in LA??? I agree, Drew. Fisher even looks like he's lost some weight. Lol. Yeah, I think Fisher is happy with what he's seeing this camp from the top to the bottom of his roster. Groh is instilling technique and detail in his WR's masterfully. Goff is coming right along on schedule with the occasionby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Thanks for the practice comments, Craig. Means a lot coming from you. That #41 is Jabriel Washington. Rookie CB out of Alabama. He's been opening the eyes of a few other camp reporters, too. Seems to just make plays. Could be a Snead gem for down the road depth. Maybe even a bit more than that one day.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotesocalmab I was there also, and do agree that Quick makes the team. Duke Williams looks legit also. I wanted to add that Green looked really solid, has a suddenness that Brown lacks. Chase REynolds was first RB on the field, was great with the fans, just do not know where he fits in. Not the first time I've seen Green's name mentioned positively, socalmab. And he once got a nice commenby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Thanks for the report, 71. Very much appreciated, man.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteSunTzu_vs_Camus until they prove themselves.....especially the rookies. I think they will be safe on the PS unless it's Cooper or Thomas. Our Rams are not known for any passing offense and WRs sans Tavon. If that changes this year, we'll start to get more attention from other teams. Now, on defense...other teams would kick the tires on some of our players. imo I dunno, Sun.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
The Higbee accolades just keep coming. Could he be one of the biggest steals of the draft? He's sure making it easy to forget the Cook era, isn't he? Lol.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Each rookie got at least one vote, but Higbee looks like he's the one with the most eyes on him. BTW, I'm kinda surprised (and disappointed) that there was not a single comment. Sigh...by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Here's Merlin... We were discussing in our section how IF you were to take the numbers off the QBs and watch them the guy you would think is the rookie is Mannion. Goff is very measured and confident and in most of his snaps smooth with his decision making and of the three the only one who routinely makes the time to look downfield; if a nice pass goes mid to further range it's usually Goff. Tby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Aside from Goff, that is. Just for fun, of course. After OTA's and a whopping 6 practices? Lol. I'm gonna go with Higbee, but I'm loving so many of the others. Including a couple of UDFA's... I like other rookies, too, but these five seem to have a legit shot at making a big impact this year. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if 2-3 of them did, frankly, based upon camp reports so far.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Based on most camp reports I've seen, including this one by Merlin, it sounds like we did very well on O this offseason. VERY well. Goff (just a matter of time) Groh (sounds like he's working wonders on the fundamentals of his WR's) Higbee (a steal) Cooper (possible steal) Thomas (another possible steal) To that we can add the following: Tavon sounds like he's taken a giant step forwby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Here's Merlin... Ok so got back late after a post-practice stop that was in truth a derailment at Hooters. Had a great time, so from the top I gotta give the Rams org props on setting up a really fine venue. Picked up some gear for the kids, looked around and wished there was a beer stand, but learned later in practice why there is no beer stand which I'll cover in a moment. A word of caution regarding judgements on OL, particularly GRob. It's hard to judge unless it's a padded full contact practice. And we've only had one of those before today. Nevertheless, I've seen numerous positive comments coming from several camp reporters. Including Gil Brandt about GRob. I'm cautiously optimistic about our O for this year. That padded Tues practice for the O was anby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteSaguaro I respect Bucky and take what he has to say seriously. On the one hand he appears to have seen only one practice, and evidently not one of Goff's better ones. So not a large sample, as Florida Ram says. On the other hand, he also talked to other players and Rams' organization and lists support for his opinion. So it looks like he was thorough in the time that he had. Brookby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

Just a reminder, to avoid confusion. This is a Wed camp report... Here's Ramzee... The day was very nice. The weather out there is great. Kind of overcast most of the day. The crowd was much larger today than on Tuesday and a lil more vocal. The Rams started off camp doing warm ups and then cut to WR drills on one side with QB's warming up in the end zone on one field and the OL and DL wby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Well, THAT was a bucket of cold water, wasn't it? But I've said all along that I favor starting the QB that Fisher thinks gives us the best chance of winning each Sunday. We can win with Keenum. Especially if GZ can do his job. Lol.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Many thanks for the report, 64. Much appreciated. I'm assuming that today's practice wasn't padded? That would probably work to the advantage of the D, I guess. I have yet to hear a single positive about Kush from any camp reporter. Not good. Some good and some not so good everywhere, huh? Mixed reviews on the OL. Keenum apparently backslid from earlier practice form. So Gainesby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteJamesJM had this turned off for a good reason... which means I may get into hot water here :argue because I turned it on. Or think I did... I had never messed with the poll module before.. it was 'odd'... see if it worked for you. - JamesJM Seems to be up and running now, James. Thanks. But now I'm not in the mood. I wanted to post a poll but found the former poll option unavailable. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
I think that the WR competition is the one that most interests me.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
All areas are of interest, of course. But the one of MOST interest to you? Goff vs Keenum for opening day starter? GRob's improvement. Is there significant improvement? Need padded practices to determine halfway accurately. How does overall OL look in padded practices? Pass pro? Run blocking? WR competition? Who stands out beyond Austin, Britt, and Cooper? Is Quick blowing things up?by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
