Trying to grade an OL is very difficult in most aspects... however, it is possible to watch an individual's performance and just judge the intensity, athleticism, movement skills, etc vs 1-on-1 defender. Since we don't know the block assignments and the way the coach wants them to play...we CAN watch and judge how they engaged and the way they look when they block - kinda judging movement/athleby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
ripped through the game super fast - thank goodness...it was all penalties - on both sides, frankly!!! I'm happy to watch the young rooks get a shot to play....but man, these PS games are just too ugly and poor to be a product of the NFL. Cut the PS down or get rid of it completely....drop 2 PS games at least.....ugh!!! I'm fine with 18 reg season +2 PS games. Pay more to the players orby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
I mean, a lot more often. In the old days throwing deep balls were dangerous affairs cuz completions were much harder. But now?!! With today's PI rules... any team throwing deep is nearly guaranteed something good happen...either a catch of a PI...at worst, an incomplete/overthrow. The Raiders threw deep alot and the Rams didn't run anything cept an HS offense that'd make Jeff Fisher pby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
Demby is a better OG/OT...stop wasting his time at OC...he's not good at it. Let Demby focus on G & T. Blythe will be OC if Allen goes down of cannot hack it...Demby or 2 rooks will then go to RG. Sometimes, it's hard to blow guys off the line...I often just look to see if their guy - that they're blocking - makes or gets in on the play... ..imo...the OL has done their job and kept theby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
I thot he was pretty good and sure better than BAllen. I think Wolford might be able to develop in a year or two. Wolford has a nice snap to his throws and is scrappy. imo The game was pretty flat/boring...and I was surprised the Rams played kinda flat on offense and defense sans the 2 TOs. I thought the NT play of GGaines was better than SebasDay. Gaines pushed the pocket and looked moby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com

If Goff were injured that'd be a tough one (AD too probably)...so that's a great example. I'm not saying the Rams woulda made the SB with Mannion...or maybe even the playoffs... but I bet we'd have winning record(9-7) with a very very bad QB. Cassel was 10x the QB Mannion is. Making the best of a bad situation is a skill/talent/ability...I don't know what to call it. But it MATTERS. Cuzby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
"I like people who are GOOD, AND work hard, AND are lucky." - zn agreed...but luck is the one factor that is beyond the realms of human control... so, having good character, being talented and working hard - I agree - are the main factors for responding positively with luck...the good or bad kind! ;)by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
McVay didn't play his starters all PS with the hopes of keeping everyone healthy for the reg season. Will other teams do this now??? The way Reggie and and the staff *may* being treating their players *may* be why the team has been so "lucky"..for now 2yrs in a row. Sa for the coaches....I bet when Wade retires and we lose Kromer someday...the team will still thrive. Why? Cuz theby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
there's the randomness of what happens (*luck*)...and how one responds when confronted with it. THAT is where character, determination, preparation and the skill to trust it..... play a large part in turning luck(good or bad) into opportunity. We lost CORE players(TG!! & Kupp) to unlucky injury last year...and what happens? The replacements thrive too (CJ anderson & Reynolds) and weby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
I think we have a very deep RB room ....with all different styles of talent/ability that will be fun to watch - much like our WRs diverse set of skills that have all been incorporated into McVay's offense to take advantage of what they do best. I'm so relaxed with how the team is run for the 1st time....maybe EVER! Coaching, scouting, drafting, FO/contracts/salary cap moves, etc. I love hoby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
Too me...this aspect of our coaching/FO/Scouting, etc are what makes me fearless about our prospects of the future. If injuries strike, I know that we have a very deep bench of new talent that's getting meaningful reps and have a good chance to fill in for an injured starter without too big a drop-off. THAT'S HUGE!!!!!! We likely won't be free of the injury bug for the 3rd yr in a row...so oby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
for 4 games....for rookies, draft picks, UDFAs, walk ons, etc....and completely REST all starters. Seriously. I'm actually really looking forward to PS this year because... #1 - Get watch draft picks & UDFAs...new blood #2 - NO fear of Starters getting hurt...so I can relax & enjoy #3 - It helps giving young players real NFL game experience and a showcase/stage for other teams #by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
and hope springs eternal every draft!! That's part of the fun of it...picking out a few guys whom you like...and rooting for them. It's all in good fun.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com

but, sometimes in life...things don't happen...and they don't appear to be happening for OBO. If so, cut or PS him and move on....by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
....in response to McVay's shortcomings in the SB. THAT will not happen again. imo The Rams will be multiple and that'll spread the emphasis out to more player types...not just 3 WRs. We have a 2nd round TE that is a VERY VERY good RAC receiver...and a 3rd down RB we just drafted that will more than fill the void by dealing Reynolds. I think we'd do it if we get a 2nd or 3rd for him...butby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
this staff is good at it. And I see Thomas, Hodge, JoJo, _insert new guy_ , doin just enough to be solid and work and the #4WR later this year. We have very good coaches & scouts and the new talent will be good. Our guys are getting better every practice and I see the Rams trading players like the Pats do...a year early rather than a year too late.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
and they'll sign for for starter's money. i didn't now the calculation for 3rd rnd comp picks...so no ,Im not sure if it'll be 18m...but as you say... in a year & a half....18m is not going to be outrageous money...the market has proven that every year in the jumps in 2nd yr salaries. I sure was hopeful for him and his skillset...which I thot would be, at the very least, a serviceable pass rusher. But maybe the body will not abide...and he gets injured..or he doesn't have it between the ears...but I think the coaches have kinda given up on him as they don't talk about him at all. I was hoping OBO would be like a Sebas Day kinda player. OBO sure had some violence to his gameby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
it doesn't look like he'll make it as he can't stay healthy...it happens. I hot he had some potential but such is the life of an NFL hopeful and injuries.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
imo And he will go on to have a very solid career with another team. If I'm the Rams...I'd take a 2nd rounder and trade him this year... otherwise just wait for the 3rd rounder comp pick in 2021.by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
what a class act for our team to do that...it's small gesture...but HUGELY important for players to see how ownership repays their service!! A HUGE incentive fo FA to come here. imoby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
I posted earlier that I thot Bortles would play very well in PS...and get us a comp pick. However, this offense shines a bit more with Goff's passing ability and 3yrs in the system. Bortles is the better athlete...but Goff is the better passer. imoby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com

avg 3/4 end..imo Not much explosion and gets his sacks cuz the QB holds the ball too long....best thing he does is time his jumps to block a lot of passes. so...meh!? lol Trevon Young is a better version tho still a bit lumbering at times. imoby SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
and their offense is usually always feisty against us and score a lot of points! I hope all the other NFCWest teams(Cards, 49ers, Hawks) are better this year and that games are close and hard fought - hard won... it's why I love the game!!!by SunTzu_vs_Camus - RamsFootballFans.com
The entire organization and 52 other players and it comes down to 1 QB??? That's just too scary to contemplate... that's why they need to draft & develop QBs and find a way to teach them much faster.
