Yeah, when a band you go to see doesn't play your favorite song by them it's frustrating.
Really kind of amazing how differently groups, vocalists, perform in concert... length of concert... how many of their older songs they perform.... talking to the audience... etc.
I saw John Denver once and he played almost non-stop for a little over 3 hours. About half way into the concert his band took a break but he didn't - he stayed on stage and played solo. He did talk to the audience a few times between songs but it was short and to point - mostly explaining how the song came about. I was in awe of his energy.
I think I have bad Karma for bands, performers, in concert... saw "War" once and the lead guitar player was so drunk I don't think he hit a single right note the entire concert...they eventually led him off stage and continued without him. Took a very young grandson to see the "Wiggles" once and I think it was Murray that was so drunk he fell off the stage. The kids in attendance loved it.... Mom's were not quite as pleased.
