If Carson Wentz is unvaccinated, he's not the only one on the Colts roster who isn't. "...Media reports put the NFL as a whole above 90% vaccinated, leaving 200 players — prior to this week's cuts — unvaccinated. At 75%, the Colts would account for 10% of all unvaccinated players..."by HornsUpRamily! - RamsFootballFans.com
While you make a good point, Corey Bojorquez was the only healthy punter for the 3rd preseason game. Much like K Matt Gay, he played because he was the only one who could. Johnny Hekker is still in quarantine per the COVID-19 protocol.by HornsUpRamily! - RamsFootballFans.com

Well this could be a sign Per RamsWire Cameron DeSilva August 31, 2021 5:50 am PT "...Johnny Hekker is the longest-tenured player on the Rams, but that could change on Tuesday with Los Angeles needing to trim its roster down to 53 players. They usually do a pretty good job at Downtown Rams. But a couple of notes about this one: I can't see the Rams outright cutting Obo unless they have a bead on a veteran replacement. Terrell Lewis is hardly more reliable, and Rams made need half of each to get a whole rotation at OLB. I can't see the Rams going just 3 RBs with Henderson's durability in question. Any player NOT counting against the salary cap is listed in another part. For Over the Cap, it's on the right side. For SPOTRAC, it's on the bottom of the page in separate sections. ICYMI, Pro Football Focus gave LA Rams DL Jonah Williams a solid pass rush grade among all preseason players. Of course, PFF didn't help Jordan Meredith earn a roster spot. Wonder if this will factor in on Williams fate? Coach Eric Henderson loves Bobby Brown III. In his own words: "I think he can be an All Pro one day no doubt. Very talented" That may be coach talk, but I don't believe you say that about a guy you send packing. I could be wrong, though.by HornsUpRamily! - RamsFootballFans.com
A cut player who could start for the Rams by week 3? That seems like a pretty high bar, to be honest. I do think that there are some potentially waived players that the Rams could submit a claim for who could contribute by season's end. But starting by week 3? I don't have anyone like that on the radar right now.by HornsUpRamily! - RamsFootballFans.com
True, and I did think about that. But I also did notice Haydel picked up the preseason KR duties, and seemed to do okay with it after Raymond Calais went down. If Rams follow 2020's script, that could mean Haydel slots in as an emergency KR role.by HornsUpRamily! - RamsFootballFans.com
I think of the three, Eric Banks is probably the best bet to put in a two-point stance. Hoecht was all defensive lineman, and Williams probably could have been cross-trained at some point in his college career, but never was that I could find evidence.by HornsUpRamily! - RamsFootballFans.com
With the first six roster cuts in the record books, I was just wondering which of the players released you may think could be targetted to re-sign on the Rams' practice squad? I would expect the Rams to bring back OG Jordan Meredith, and perhaps WR Jeremiah Haydel and or DB Brontae Harris. Anyone else have any thoughts about who might be heading for the practice squad so far?by HornsUpRamily! - RamsFootballFans.com

Jordan Meredith is among the first players waived in this round. Curious that he was the highest graded offensive lineman in the first preseason game. Right now the Detroit Lions have 11 draft picks for the 2022 NFL Draft. If those types of practices bleed over into the NFL season, the Lions could be picking up a new franchise QB as early as next season Here are the Lions current projected draft picks: "...2, 29, 34, 66, 98, 144, 176, 181, 219, 241, 246..."by HornsUpRamily! - RamsFootballFans.com
Wow... "It was a practice to forget for Jared Goff and the first-team offense. During team periods, Goff threw two interceptions, two passes that were nearly intercepted, and failed to find the end zone even once. Okay. As of 7:00 am PT the Pro Football Network appears to have been updated with NFL waivers that had taken place on August 28th and 29th. So it's currently up to date (pending today's reported cuts, at least)by HornsUpRamily! - RamsFootballFans.com
Roster cuts have already begun by some teams. This has a pretty simple-to-follow tracker for roster cuts (albeit I can't attest to how frequently it's updated, as none of the August 28th or 29th NFL waivers were reflected on it early on August 30th). It does allow the reader to toggle via a pull-down menu to grab the NFL team that you are interested in. I believe there are more timely Rosterby HornsUpRamily! - RamsFootballFans.com
Unless there is a new offensive philosophy, I just don't see how Tutu Atwell is much of a factor in the LA Rams 2021 offense. Ahead of him are Robert Woods, Cooper Kupp, Van Jefferson, DeSean Jackson, and Tyler Higbee. Van Jefferson was not used much in 2021 until the Rams had trouble getting Cooper Kupp on the field. I see Tutu Atwell being used less than Van Jefferson was in 2020. The Ramsby HornsUpRamily! - RamsFootballFans.com

That would suggest the opposite is also true then. Brycen Hopkins played (when he didn't need to) so he probably is NOT a 53-man roster lock at this point in time.by HornsUpRamily! - RamsFootballFans.com
If you look down the list, you'll see former Rams OC Cohl Cabral waived today by the Vikings. Sorry about the mushed-up way it shows up. Formating is a bit random from the NFL waiver tables. Jake Funk made a lot of folks scratch their head when he was drafted at 233, but looks like he's earned his spot. He's had quite a journey to make the LA Rams roster. I don't know that I'd be too worked up about the Broncos. They have had a lot of moving parts and used the 3rd preseason game, like many NFL teams do, to tune up their starting players. They may have been starters, but there was no specific game-planning in that one. That being said, the game certainly was encouraging to judge the quality of the Rams' 2nd and 3rd stringers.
