Lindsey Thiry covers the Rams and the Chargers. She didn't cover either NFL well in this one.by HornsUpRamily! - RamsFootballFans.com
The ESPN article tries to give a thumbs up or down based almost entirely on the who's in vs. who's out algorithm. But what about who gets a shot to play? perspective? What about who's on the bench considerations? I get it, this is a rough crosscut of the team. But saying that the Rams are worse with losing Everett and gaining Harris seems premature. "The first thing any savvy NFL team will do after making a blockbuster trade is tout, trumpet, and proclaim all the virtues of the new incoming player. His drawbacks, shortcomings, and warts? Not so much. But we have to be honest with ourselves, and the LA Rams certainly have inherited risks with their latest headliner trade. All good points, but 2020 was not a typical offseason. The LA Rams, like many teams, offered the minimal opportunity to rookies, instead focusing what little prep time they had with their pre-ordained starters. Akers, as one of the Rams' rookies, was not given the opportunity at practicing with the 1's until the season had begun. Yes, he will need to improve this year. Thankfully, he shouby HornsUpRamily! - RamsFootballFans.com
This article brings a good issue, as the Rams know how to turn UDFAs into comp picks. Who will make this year's roster cuts despite not being drafted? "Undrafted free agents are labeled frequently by fans as camp bodies because, for the most part, they are added to an NFL team’s 90-man roster to round out the drills and training camp to ensure that eventual starters are not overworked byby HornsUpRamily! - RamsFootballFans.com
Nice find. A very good read. And yes, it makes way too much sense after lining everything up as the article says. The Rams are deliberately working coachable day 3 players and using the savings to invest in elite players to lead them all.by HornsUpRamily! - RamsFootballFans.com
The Rams never seemed to get him on track, even late in the season when Henderson was hurt. Is he just a special teams guy to them?by HornsUpRamily! - RamsFootballFans.com
Aaron Donald needs just 14.5 QB sacks to get to 100 for his career. After reading this, I think he just might do it. "35 NFL Players have recorded 100 or more quarterback sacks over the course of their NFL careers. It’s a very prestigious group, one that boasts some of the most accomplished players of NFL history. Of that 35, three have played for the Rams organization. Who do you ask? Wby HornsUpRamily! - RamsFootballFans.com
Good point. It will make preseason games fun to watch depth running backs fighting to stick on the roster.by HornsUpRamily! - RamsFootballFans.com
I was pretty excited when the Rams signed Bucs rookie RB Raymond Calais to the roster last year. He runs something like a 4.42 40 and I thought that he might win the return job and even get some playing time on offense. But that didn't happen. Does he have a chance to do something this year? Or will he be sent packing when the team cuts the roster to 53?by HornsUpRamily! - RamsFootballFans.com
It seems as though the LA Rams are hiring right now, even in many entry-level positions. Does anyone need a job and want to work for the Rams? How cool would it be to get a job with the organization, and for the Rams to go on and win the Super Bowl. I think that would be awesomeby HornsUpRamily! - RamsFootballFans.com
The LA Rams have made a lot of changes to the roster this year. Now the question is, how does it all add up? I know that the simplest answer is patience, and wait for the games to be played. But I'm looking for some perspectives - at least to help me watch preseason games with a more discerning eye. I found this : "The LA Rams once more are trying to sort out and sort through a rather lby HornsUpRamily! - RamsFootballFans.com

Yeah, I was kinda wondering if the team was going to look after new coaches and new players got past training camp. I was thinking a couple minor trades to round out the team's back end of the roster.by HornsUpRamily! - RamsFootballFans.com
Just saw this pop up over at Ramblin Fan, a good discussion why HC Sean McVay is so upbeat this year. For the first time in five years, this team is all his, top to bottom, even down to the quarterback. It makes sense. McVay is a bit of a details guy, and now all of the chips on the table are his. Thoughts?by HornsUpRamily! - RamsFootballFans.com
I saw a similar article a week ago over at Ramblin Fan The crown jewel of the NFL football fields will be unfurled on her maiden voyage in 2021. And much of the fuss is about how impressive the technological advances are to the stadium itself. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it features all of the bells and whistles that you can think of. But it is more than a lavish Christmas tree of stadiums, witby HornsUpRamily! - RamsFootballFans.com
I hope the kid makes the team, if only for that name. Jake Funk has got to be a top 5 name for a football player.by HornsUpRamily! - RamsFootballFans.com
I think that Jacob Harris is tough to project onto the football field, because he defies a standard NFL category. He's big and strong, like a tight end. He's long and fast, like a wide receiver. I think I read an article from the Athletic that explained why Harris was grouped with the tight ends. Per analytics, he has a much better likelihood of success in the NFL from that position. True enough. But the OL room appears to empty pretty quickly in 2022.by HornsUpRamily! - RamsFootballFans.com
Could be everyone is just so caught up in chatting about Jacob Harris, that Brycen Hopkins was overlooked? But it's never a good sign when the team drafts competition for a position before the previous year's rookie ever saw playing time...by HornsUpRamily! - RamsFootballFans.com
I think I'd read that AJ Jackson could be a huge steal and eventually develop into an NFL-left offensive tackle. He hailed from Iowa (a great offensive lineman school, btw) and started a ton of games for them... Excellent point! The Rams get crucified by NFL talking heads for trading 1st round draft picks, but here we go again. A young team but an excellent roster that some think can win the SB this year. I guess the Rams are doing something right after all.by HornsUpRamily! - RamsFootballFans.com
Was anyone else confused by the Rams' decision not to draft offensive linemen? Now that Andrew Whitworth appears to be retiring, it's even more of a mystery. In fact, the Rams added just Tremayne Anchrum in 2020, and now have 3 undrafted offensive linemen in 2021. Are the Rams counting on the 3 new additions for 2022? Interesting perspective. Here's the article. Thoughts anyone?by HornsUpRamily! - RamsFootballFans.com
Great find! I love the way that article uses the defensive line, and specifically, the nose tackle, to track the way the LA Rams defense has evolved. I agree with the author's point about Morris' defense will expand the responsibility of the inside linebacker. Go Rams!by HornsUpRamily! - RamsFootballFans.com
