Quoteramsfanatic Sigh... They need to bench him... Stafford's arm is dead.by RamsAl48 - Game Time Forum
Can't throw with accuracy over 15 yards.by RamsAl48 - Game Time Forum
Quotesstrams Nm Something is wrong with Stafford's arm. He just under threw a open Kupp by a mile. How do you think he is going to get Robinson the ball if he can't thread the needle on a pass over 20 yards?by RamsAl48 - Game Time Forum
QuoteCROMWELL21 Also called up Harris and Skura from ps for this game. Didn't Brown #41 play last week against the 49ers? I thought he was on the play in the red zone where he missed a block on Greenlaw that led to Stafford rushing his pass and missing an easy throw to Higbee that would have been a touchdown.by RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams43 You just asked the $64 question, Dynasty. Does he have incriminating pictures of Morris? Nothing else makes much sense. I’ve been expecting Rams to trade him for 2 years now, especially after acquiring Wagner. I’m dumbfounded, tbh. Sigh… Why can't we find some dogs with some attitude at safety? We need more guys like Kendrick.....who get fired up and won't back down. Even tby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRampage2K- how desperate we are for some playmakers that this guy can't even get on the field.....:banghead McVay seems to be stuck on that mindset that veteran players are better. He put in Malcolm Brown on that redzone play last week where he missed a block on Ebukam and Stafford was rushed into a bad pass and missed Higbee for a easy TD pass. Brown was just picked up from some otherby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteSoCalRAMatic I understand why one would think to roster the guy for short yardage situations. But, we can only dress so many. Would you bench Malcomb Brown for Perkins? He would be our bench short yardage guy. Perkins has no NFL regular game experience. Not a snap. Would you rather see our third string QB running the football instead of Akers or Hendu? You would rather run Perkins into theby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamgator What we saw the other night is the SAAAAAME issues we have had with tough / physical teams since McVay arrived. And of course, a paper thin O line did not help. But overall this year, I have seen few changes to the O. It's weird how the Rams always play the niners when they are on the brink of a meltdown.....It's like Shanahan calls McVay and ask him for favor to throw the game soby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteDaJudge ...the Rams will be signing(or trading for) another QB as quick as humanly possible. Yeah, I'm sure they would rather play Blake Bortles..then let Perkins take a snap.by RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteDaJudge ...things can ALWAYS get worse. If Perkins was the best QB on the roster he'd be playing. But he's not, nor is he the 2nd best QB on the roster. If anyone thinks an additional 5-8 QB scrambles (exactly what Perkins would give the team) is the final piece of this cake, they're sadly mistaken. Sorry, his preseason performances against players no longer in the NFL don't equal allby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotenapoli He's 3 for a reason. He's trash Quoteillini_ram QuoteSoCalRAMatic He's our #3 emergency QB. There are only so many actives for each game. Wolfie is the backup. I'm aware that Perkins is our emergency 3rd string QB, and that Wolford is our backup. But that doesn't change my opinion of giving Perkins a shot. He has intangibles that Wolford doesn't. I think Perkins is more Fitzmagiby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotemerlin Would you be questioning Coen and browbeating him right now? And would that be effective. Maybe give him some TPS reports to finish before this weekend. If I was McVay....I would demote Coen and take over as play caller for the rest of the season. Obviously Coen is way over his head....especially in the red zone.by RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteNewMexicoRam If Stafford gets hurt and Wolford can't do much. I hope McVay figures out a way to keep Stafford upright and nearly untouched. Not going to happen with these scrubs on the offensive line. Stafford is a sitting duck. This may be a lost season...why risk further injuring Stafford. Let Stafford sit for the year recovering from what ever is the problem with his elbow or hby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams43 Quoteillini_ram Why not give Perkins a shot. He does well under pressure and makes things happen. He can out run a blitz and usually makes something out of nothing. With the OLine playing as bad as they have, I believe Perkins would benefit our offense. At least give him a chance in certain situations. This is an unserious suggestion. Perkins is only on the 53 because McVay feareby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteSoCalRAMatic Well, you are arguing that Perkins should be the back up QB and giving your reasons. This was much discussed after PS. I'm not going down that path again. On the official depth chart Perkins is our #3 and will most likely be inactive each week in that role. It doesn't really matter how he could be used if he isn't eligible. To get him up you would have to deactivate another plby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteSoCalRAMatic He's our #3 emergency QB. There are only so many actives for each game. Wolfie is the backup. Wolfe is too small and would not last very long behind this line. Perkins is 6'3'' and 215 and has mobility and decent arm. Perkins is underrated and people on this board give him no chance of being a successful QB in this league. The Rams have started worse QBs in their histby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
Was Coen ready to take over as offensive coordinator? This guy only had one year as an offensive coordinator at the college level. While Kevin was a former NFL backup QB who played with Tom Brady and had alot of experience as a QB coach and offensive coordinator with the Redskins. Not to mention he spent alot of time on the side line with Matt Stafford during games last season. Notby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams43 We’re all gonna be ‘Creed Humphrey mad’ for at LEAST the next 10 years. This after being ‘Bobby Wagner mad’ for the previous 12 years, dammit! And now Atwell can’t even make the active roster… Arrrrrgh! You would think Les Snead learned his lesson drafting Tavon Austin in the 1st round. Never draft a 5'9'' skinny wide out...no matter how fast he is.by RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteNewMexicoRam Rams seem to create highlight reel plays-----for the other team. This dates back to Roger Craig running rampant over the Rams in the 1980's or John Taylor catching the slant pass leaving Leroy Irvin grasping for air. That play last night brought back bad childhood memories for me. lmao.by RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRampage2K- yes, the OL issues didn't help, but no excuse on some of those misses tonight....the one to Higbee was an easy TD to get us back into that game. McVay needs to have a week of practices where he doesn't even LOOK at Kupp. We need Van Jefferson back asap too Why is no one talking about Stafford's elbow and how it's effecting the accuracy of his throws, velocity and throwinby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotestlramz Till then, he aint touching the field. I think he might.... Something is wrong with Stafford's elbow. If Stafford stinks this Sunday against Atlanta and avoid throwing deep to Allen Robinson we will know his elbow is the problem. Quotegeorge_allen QuoteClassicalwit Hopefully he will never have to, because the season will be over in that case. agreed. same goes for if wolford has to finish the season or if we had jimmy garoppolo as our back up. rams need to be all in on supporting stafford and he needs to work his way through whatever ailments he has for the rest of the season. i think the idea of trashing staby RamsAl48 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteNewMexicoRam If the O line can't hold up for a pocket type passer, maybe the better choice is to put someone in who can escape the pocket and run. I'd think McVay would change to a quick pass offense before he would ever take a healthy Stafford out of a game.
