I feel similar to you Gator. I really liked Woods and I didn't want to see him go but I understand this is a business above all else and winning trumps most everything else. McSnead has won consistently and they've gone beyond earning the benefit of the doubt, (except for that Tutu pick! Holy Moly what a bad choice!). I trust them on this Woods trade due to the cap hit. I think they could haby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I read a number of Bears fan's posts that said that Robinson quit trying hard, i.e. he was no longer putting out the level of effort that he used to. I think he has the traits and tools that will improve us at WR, especially for Stafford, but I'm not sure about his heart. I think that playing for a playoff team should be motivation enough. I'm sure McVay will watch his performance.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
The Ramblin Ram argument is the same one you use Dyn: Safford may be too expensive. Further both of you say if Safford was willing to come cheap the Rams might take a look at him. I don't understand what you are objecting too in that article because both of you are saying the same thing. Or maybe I've missed something?by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I remember reading some stat that said the same thing: the Rams' OLine was excellent in pass protection but not so great in the running game.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
That was great! Ty for posting it. I'm still celebrating and enjoying the SB win. It hasn't worn off at all.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I feel like the others. He's a rookie and he's made some good catches but he's dropped important passes and made a critical error in the SB. I am sure there are much better WRs available but they'd probably cost a few bucks more, not by much however. You can't do what he did in the SB and expect to be thought of highly or valued. He is good on special teams. Maybe just keep him as a ST playby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't know if this has been posted earlier, but I am still re-living and greatly enjoying the season. This video has some pretty funny and unexpected moments in it. You guys know that we won the Super Bowl! It still feels 100% great!by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Alyo, you mention drafting a WR, but why would the Rams draft one? Aren't we loaded with WRs and aren't there other more pressing needs? I'm not a big fan of Skrownek because he dropped more than he should have but if I'm ok with him if he's the bottom WR on our team.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
This is such a nice, mellow, satisfying, pleasant, feeling. I'm still re-watching portions of the game and pundit's reviews & commentary. I'm really appreciating how good Stafford to Kupp was. I'm appreciating the new saying I've heard, "Third and Kupp!" That makes me laugh. I'm cautious to say this, but Stafford and McVay make all of our game comebacks during the playoffby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
RFL, You make good points that I understand and agree with. This is not a all black or all white point, instead it is another shades of gray discussion, that's all. I know you are not complaining or being hard core negative. Most everyone on this board agrees that the Tutu pick was real bad and we missed out on a gem. That pick pissed me off like it did you. I'm just saying that I havby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
We don't live in a perfect world and our FO is not perfect. I agree with you that the Tutu pick was very bad and was a bad look for our FO. But I would cut down on the hyperbole. This FO has been successful for some 5 years now, with two SB appearances, four playoff appearances, and always winning records. I'd bet at least 27 fan bases would trade their FO for ours! Our FO is doing somethiby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Thanks for posting this, it was a great video to watch. Question: I got to think that there is a ton of video available of all the chatter on the sidelines, tv and radio commentaries, and maybe in the huddles that could be spliced into a long video of the entire game. It could be six hours worth of video. Does anyone know if anything like that is available for purchase?by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't know anything about him but I think it's the smart move. He's made enough money to live comfortably, so get out while you have your health, if he still does. He can waltz into any college or highschool and get a coaching job if he's bored. Easy money. I'd like to see Whit retire for the same reasons.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I liked Goff but since I live in the Detroit area I knew Stafford was better and was a very experienced and rock-proven warrior. In hindsight we can say "hell yeah" it was worth it. But if my memory serves me correctly, at the time Stafford had had a couple bad games and more INTs then expected. His record was like Goff's tenure with the Rams. So it was a fair question to ask.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
And still enjoying it immensely! Feels good don't it!by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree with 43, I think you're being a bit too pessimistic but your points are valid. As 43 pointed out, it's hard to argue against 5 years of solid evidence. I thought the Tutu pick was bad and the "cuteness" factor in McSnead bothers me, but OTOH McSnead has demonstrated convincingly the ability to learn and change. Of course there's going to be team-strength&weaknessesby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
First of all let me say thank you for going to all the trouble to remember and collect some of the major debates we've had here on the board. You put in some good degree of effort to summarize them and write about them fairly and accurately. It made for an excellent and enjoyable read. Thank you. I agree with everything you wrote and in most examples I felt similar to how you felt. The Lomby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I loved this video about Kupp's rise from obscurity. Apologies if it has been posted before.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Is that embroidered? How did you make that? It looks great! Better than a lot of the stuff I've seen for sale.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Reminds me of the goat head on Skelator's staff. I tried to attach a pic but it was too big.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams43 Perhaps the more useful question would be how do these hacks, who claim to be reporters, find work? 61. The Tackle set the bar too high. No one should ever expect anything in depth, insightful, or wise, from today's journalists. Of course once in a while you do find that but that is the exception not the rule. Journalists today are poorly paid and they're expected to put outby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I've said the same thing. He should be more comfortable with his new home, new environment, new coaches, new teammates, new stadium, new rivalries. He should be less prone to having to be "superman" to save the day. Now he knows he has a strong supporting cast that has his back. He knows for certain that he has more than one top rated receiver to look to. He knows he has a soby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Thank you DP for putting the work and time into writing this up, appreciate it. Very detailed and all the bases are covered.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't understand the dynamic value of what these various assistant coaches bring to the table. But I wonder, "If they were worth it, why don't the Rams offer to pay them more?" Now I understand that it's more than just money; guys want to make a name for themselves, become SB winning HCs, etc, but money also talks and talks loudly depending in the amt. Further, the Rams' asst.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Each day has a nice new sweetness about it. Those games were so stressful. I'd prefer we blow them out by 50 points in the 1st quarter. But I know that many of my friends in Detroit and elsewhere are thinking about how good I am feeling.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Thank you especially to Alyo who took the time for such a nice detailed response. At this point I believe the Rams' future looks very good. Get a couple of not-impossible-to-procure pieces and we're set to make a solid SB run.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
