If it were Aaron Rodgers, then I'd say you're right. But Stafford has not behaved that way in any part of his NFL career. He handled the trade request like a pro. He'll handle a contract restructure the same way.by PA48 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yes they certainly have a lot of young lineman. Gonna need to make a lot of decisions over the next 8 months. Who can play? Who can they keep? Who do they want to keep? And who do they have to replace?by PA48 - RamsFootballFans.com

Quotestlramz and I don't think the Eagles are going to trade him or cut him because he's more than a first round pick, he's a first round talent. Well the guy beating him out for a job (Jordan Mailata) was drafted in the 7th round. So that guy must have been really under rated!! Maybe the Rams ought to try and trade for him?by PA48 - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteznI will only say that communication with Stafford is not likely to be a problem, in part because (1) McVay may have learned from that experience, (2) with veteran Stafford it will be more collaborative (McVay would have to be thick as a brick to not listen to his smart 13 year vet qb). ... QuotemoklermanThis article doesn't seem particularly honest or objective. Maybe not. But it is factual. Stafford has made it to the postseason 3 times in 12 years. That's 25%. We can debate how much of it was Stafford not being able to elevate his team or how much his team failed him. But facts are facts. He did have weapons around him. He did have a lot of losing. What he didn't have was a treby PA48 - RamsFootballFans.com
I looked at him as a 4th year QB. His first year with Fisher and his ground and pound approach to offensive football, he had that genius Rob Boras at OC and Chris Weinke at QB coach. I'm not saying that stunted Goff's growth but perhaps just delayed it a year because let's be totally honest....WTF have either of those 2 done in coaching? Why did Fisher choose Boras? It's always the QB. He regressed. He got gun shy. He was battered. Well they do get the biggest bucks so that comes with the territory. But rarely are things like they seem. Every team is different, every year. Lose these guys, sign those guys. Draft some players. Bottom line is this....it's a mix of coaching, talent, cohesiveness and luck. QuoteRams43 There are many reasons for McVay to be happier this offseason beyond the upgrade at QB. Let’s see… Okay, the QB change is a groundswell upgrade which reopens the entire playbook for McVay. The Morris hire is already looking REAL good. The DeCamillus hire is also looking REAL good. There is now good reason to believe that our ST may have been ‘fixed’. That’s beyond huge. Therby PA48 - RamsFootballFans.com
The original comments were made with Matthew Stafford sitting right by his side. It was intended (I believe) as a lob he could spike. And his answer came off as a dig of Goff. Why? Because Stafford was sitting right beside him. Quotemoklerman But that's the part that's hard to reconcile. Goff has struggled for over 2 years in McVay's offense. Which offense out there would be "good", if not McVay's? Goff did well in McVay's offense when the O line was solid. Of course that can be said of any competent QB. In 2019, the Rams O line was a shambles because of inexperience and injury. There is a guy on the net who is pretty good at predicting comp picks. I don't know if he still does it. But from what I remember, a lot of things go into it.....salary/contract, playing time, performance....so though OTC "projects" the Rams to get a 4th and three 6ths (not including the 3rd for Holmes), if those factors are correct it's not settled until the 2021 season is over.by PA48 - RamsFootballFans.com

In 9 years Snead (and HC) have made 30 selections in the first 3 rounds. That's a +3 over average. The breakdown? QB - 2 RB - 5 WR - 5 OT - 5 TE - 1 S - 5 CB - 3 DT - 2 LB - 1 Edge - 1 I'm surprised they've only taken Edge once in 9 years in the first 3 rounds. Obviously that wasn't one of their priorities. Snead has assembled a great scouting dept that has excelled at certain positions, but not at the Edge position particularly. There's a reason the Lions got Stafford with the #1 pick without trading up. On his play, he can fit the ball into tight spaces and isn't afraid to try. That may be because, as you said, he was playing from behind much of the time and that was required.
