Many posters have spelled out the issues with Snead and McVays reasoning for NOT drafting an OL. Yet at the same time drafting players that will almost certainly fall into a similar niche, just at different positions. DeadPool, highlighted the thing that is glaring to all fans (but not the Rams somehow) ...... 1) why move Corbett from OG when he's playing well and relying on another playby OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
if they had traded back from 58 to pick up an extra 3rd or 4th say and then still reached for Tutu at either the end of the 2nd or top part of the 3rd..... I'd have been happier! This might have negated such a big trade back in the 3rd and put them out of reach of getting Meinerz (who they spent a fair bit of predraft time with!!) or having an extra pick early in the 4th and picking up say Dalby OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
and I mean that in a good way too, (even though he wasn't actually a pick!). Lindys (which I enjoy reading even if not an authority) had him listed as a 2nd to 3rd rounder and compares his game to Taylor Lewin. Which made me go and watch some of his Iowa tape. He looks big and surprisingly mobile, just leaves himself open to rushers inside moves a bit too often. ohhh... and he's from Iowaby OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
who their targets for OL might have been. The two obvious ones for me would seem Meinerz and Dalman, to position need (!!! in our eyes as fans at least), interviews and connections. They mentioned that a couple of OL got taken before their potential picks for them. They mentioned about thinking and trying to trade up, but it didn't workout for them. I know they keep talking too about all theirby OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
in the transcript of their presser, they seemed to allude to your point. They did have some OL they liked by got taken before their pick, they also mentioned they thought about/tried to trade up but didn't workout.by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Eagles took Edge Johnson I get their after ST players... but I'm pretty sure this is a guy you get as an UDFA (I know, I know, 7th round secures your UDFA but there you go,by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
happy with either of thoseby OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I was hoping someone like Trey Hill from Georgia would still be around but he's just gone. Michael Menet I still like but the well is getting dryer!! or if one of the big names that have sunk for medical fears etc.... lets take a swing. I also like Deadpools idea of a true FB, but Mason got snapped up by Baltimore? any others worth a pick?by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
and they've hit that position for 2 picks now.. Dont know anything about the player.... but was hoping for a name I knew for my armchair GM in meby OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Deadpool had him mocked as a possible pick in the 6th roundby OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com

all my favourites I feel like a true whinging pomp!by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I just posted above re Mienerz I love his game, needs work sure, but loads of power, nasty and potential to stop big DT pressuring up the middle. What a shame, every year I hope and think this might be the year.. poo pooed again.by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
it's now 4.24am here and if I'm honest, this has not been enough fun to now be totally shattered tomorrow and not get grumpy with my kids!!by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
It looks value wise as if we should have traded our pick 88 (150 points) for the 49ers pick 102 (92 points) and pick 117 (60 points) which would have been closer value.. But if that's all they'll do, do you want 2 picks or one? Me I'd have stayed and picked Mienerz But then I would have definitely traded down from 58 if I was picking Tutu (which I wouldn't of been--- so there!)by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Holmes, was the saving voice of reason in the Rams Draft room.... no-longer obviously!!by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com

Maybe, just maybe in a few years time, Tutu will be the new Hill..... or he's about to become a FA having being ok but not as much of a help as hoped for! But this really has the same feeling about it as when Martz took the reins and the Rams spiral downwards commenced. I have really really wished for them to invest a higher round pick on a quality C over the past few years. and thiby OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
they can just keep passing it to each other backwards and then luckily Tutu is so fast and small no one will see him wizz by !by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
because I feel more and more 'disgusted' the more I type it! Absolutely brainless... even if he does become an ok player... he's a gadget, could have drafted later what about a nice big C/G to play every down to give our new but old QB time to make a completion to a WR!by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
so if some how (whish has happened in more drafts than I expect) they come around and trade down in the 3rd and then there are some of the players we all hoped they would take in the 2nd... It will all workout.... but why not go the otherway take the great C or iLB and grab one of the speedsters still available later...by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
so he's not really that either..by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Didn't like: Trung candidate Tavon Austin (especially as it costa 2nd also to trade up for him) Mike Schad Jacobe Sheppard etc etc But when our Team is crying out for an upgrade at C or iLB and some of the best players at either position are still available... I just don't get thisby OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I just lost a hole load of respect for our front office.. bonkers...... and actually until I'm convinced otherwise by one of our draft gurus... just feeling really let down, I hate it this seems like the good old bad Rams drafting wierd and strange againby OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
