Many posters have spelled out the issues with Snead and McVays reasoning for NOT drafting an OL. Yet at the same time drafting players that will almost certainly fall into a similar niche, just at different positions.
DeadPool, highlighted the thing that is glaring to all fans (but not the Rams somehow) ......
1) why move Corbett from OG when he's playing well and relying on another player to fill his spot. (Evans did NOT look good at G from what I saw)
2) Corbett is a FA next year....... !!
3) The 1st or 2nd ranked C was available, good fit for our scheme, high IQ etc etc... a potential Pro-bowl C in the making
So although it's pointless to do and only really for my benefit, here's what I would have done:
57: Humphry Creed
and then followed a similar trend of collecting a fast WR, TE, DL, LB and CB etc!!!
BUT and personally I think it's a really big BUT.... you have your starting C in place for years to come!!
Done!
P.S. sorry was mean to post in the 'so Corbett is the starting center as many suspected' thread, but had two tabs open and gooffed up.
