Amazing that he's outshining Kupp.by Old Goat - Game Time Forum
Well, I'm really excited for Evans. I just hope McVay gets the running game going and doesn't fall back on bad habits. Next man up. Give the kid a chance to shine.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRockRam None of the Rams RBs warrant special D alignments. None of them are ED or SJax or Gurley. So, despite the "mystery", the Steelers D is going to game plan according to Rams tendencies, strengths and weaknesses. This is just typical NFL BS coach stuff that Bill Bellicheck turned into an art form because they're all a bit paranoid. If I'm Tomlin, I expect to see McVayby Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
Ya, that's my deal, he's good not great. Not exactly tearing up the league and he's pretty convinced of his own market value. Meanwhile this years picks are already trending toward really good. Let's get another one in the first round next year.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
I love this. Been waiting for us to draft a real offensive lineman for a while, and this guy's the real deal. The way he looks for opportunity and finishes with aggression. And he's only going to get better. I want another one.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
Ya, this is far and away different from other drafts where we're just happy they're starters. This crew is showing out, and I don't think we've seen the last of it by any means.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree. I like Tomlinson's upside, but trust coaching in not exposing him if he's not ready. I'm not second guessing them on this one. And we can cry about the running game all we want. McVay dedicates himself to it until it gets stopped once or twice. I'd like McVay to change my mind this weekend, but I'm not holding my breath.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
That's what I'm trying to explain. If he had it concealed on his person or in his car, they will arrest him for that, whether he purchased it legally or not. And in the scenario I described, that's all it takes for them to arrest you. They're not going to sit there and discuss your second amendment rights. Now if you're cruising down the 91 alongside your kids in the car with their Mouseketeeby Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
If he was arrested under the influence of weed, he probably wouldn't have been on the field yesterday. I didn't want to get political about it, but driving while black late at night in LA can get you pulled over. The scenario I described will play out just like that. I can promise you, nobody gave two thoughts to his gun rights. I grew up in SoCal, and know LA like the back of my hand. Iby Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com

Officer: Hello, Sir. License, Registration and insurance. Kendrick: Yes, sir. Right here. Officer: Are you carrying any firearms or weapons in your vehicle? Kendrick: Yes sir. In my jacket. Officer: (Calls for backup) Please exit the vehicle. Look, this type of conversation takes place every day in LA. It's not Texas. Ya, color me skeptical. One quarter of play doesn't make McVay a newfound convert of the running game. I kind of thought that would have happened after the Colts game, then last weeks first half happened. We'll see.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
I thought AD's wife was complaining about her man needing help? I thought we need to trade a #1 pick to get an elite edge? We can be so fickle. I think I'm seeing these guys get better every week. Ya, they pretty much got stoned by the best O line in football, so I'm turning a blind eye to that week, but these kids are climbing. It's what we all wanted to see- this team start to gell, andby Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteJamesJM Take Kendricks for example... first, those penalties are giving me fits. If you think YOU have gotten upset by them you should see what my reactions were. :laughing At the same time... I'm wondering if the penalties are actually somewhat of a 'good sign' of a player in development? Seems to me that is one of those highly coachable flaws. No idea if he can learn and improve buby Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteJamesJM They had to have a reason to search his car.... they can't just say, "Your registration is past due so we're going to search your car". And the 'why' is not part of that explanation. Whatever it was... it was dropped. But it HAD to be something otherwise it's illegal search and seizure and all charges will be tossed. QuoteRams43 Firstly, I’m not so sure that Burns is all that. Certainly nowhere near a CMC level of talent. Secondly, after seeing what Snead accomplished in this last draft I’m inclined to let him try to repeat that success only including that 1st now, as well. A Young in the 3rd is amazing value. What do y’all think? Ya, I really hope we're out of the pimping our first round picks busineby Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
Ya, my biggest fear is McVay staggers the carries and no one gets on track, then defaults to the pass and Watt wrecks the game. It's the only scenario where I see the Stealers beating us, only it would be us beating ourselves again. I can only hope we get Evans carries to develop a rhythm, and use the run to set up the passing game like the second half of last week. It should be no mystery why weby Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
Well, I look less at film production and more of what it tells me about their style of play on these old college highlights. Evans is fluid and seems to have good vision on when to set up his blocks and bounce it out or cut in. I think after watching him again last week that he needs to get over the NFL jitters and find his confidence. It's a little early to compare him to the greats in any wby Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
Ya, there seems to be little deviation from the template. But if it works, there's that.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
We just brought back a guy that wasn't even on an NFL roster. I mean, good for him. He has some familiarity here, and I was never against the guy, plus he's a quick, cheap pick up. I just don't have a lot of expectations. I don't think I'd play him over Freeman if it came down to it. Hope they give the kid Evans a real chance.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
Agreed wholeheartedly. No reason to look back with Staley. Promote from within and keep that man Henderson in house.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm pretty sure he's being tongue in cheek about this...by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
I was absolutely one of those guys. Still amazed every week on guys stepping up and getting it done. No-namers like Shelly and Yeast. Our rookie DL getting pressure. It's not perfect, and there's a lot to gripe about, but at the end of the day it's about points allowed. 11th in the league? Wow.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
Ya, that's a lot of stacked stupid, right there. And considering he also had a gun involved incident in college, he doesn't learn from his mistakes.by Old Goat - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotepromomasterj You want 2 superbowls and league-wide respect? Live with 40-50 passes some games. He's not going to suddenly turn into Mike Vrable. And for that, I'm glad. There are a lot of bad and mediocre coaches with paychecks around the league. There are a lot of moving pieces to building a successful team year in and year out beyond playcalling on any given day.
