Yes, though so did George Allen and John Robinson when they took over the Rams. But good point.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
He was far from overwhelmed by the situation and a very good opponent. Showed himself well in his first game. In some ways the way he got the start (3 minutes before kickoff) may have helped him. Just picked him up on my fantasy team with Jimmy G hobbled....by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com

...will be a big matchup (literally).by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, he played very well Sunday. But the truth is probably somewhere in between the guy that missed 7 tackles vs DAL and the guy who had 16 tackles vs PHIL. But for a guy billed as a between-the-tackles run stuffer he's played well in coverage so far (3 PD in two games). Certainly 'rust' was an issue for him more than most last week. I like his effort and he seems like a smart LB, though. Keby LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I dont know about better. But they sure didnt miss a beat. Edwards is a starting caliber player.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I was wondering about that. Knew today was his 50th game as HC. Robinson is I think 4th on this list with 32.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, pass rush needs work and Sloman is somewhat concerning. Otherwise really hard to complain. The 3 RBs all have different styles and strengths but I think they have all done fine so far. Henderson is clearly the biggest big play threat.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com

I remember thinking when the signed him, "nice role player, probably better than anything they've had the past few years" (which wasn't saying much...). He's far outperformed expectations- and his contract. Not an All-Pro but solidly one of the top 15 WRs in the league and a guy that does literally everything you want a WR to do well.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
When Ellard retired he was top 5 all-time in receptions and yards. And among players with 700+ receptions he is still 2nd only to James Lofton (who's in the HOF). I think after declining production in 1991-93 (mainly because the Rams as a team nosedived) the fact that he rebounded with three straight very good seasons in Washington (1994-96) cemented him. Jackson may very well get in somedby LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I highly doubt he's getting "elite" money. But stretching his contract and raising his salary is absolutely right.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I think you're exactly right. There will be some games/opponents when the Rams can run a more vertical passing game and some when they don't. They did the right thing vs. a very good Dallas front seven. Continuing to develop the running game is critical. By the way on this week's 11 Personnel podcast Jourdan and Rich H. were complimentary overall about the OL but less than enthusiastic aboutby LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I totally get the argument for Jackson and he is a guy that deserves a lot of appreciation. It's a shame that he languished on some of (literally) the worst teams in NFL history (2007 through 2011 Rams). In that context it's pretty amazing he had the production he did. His prime (2006-2012) was very good. But I don't think he's HOF-worthy. Ellard, on the other hand, you can argue is one of thby LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Definitely not, especially when you add in UDFAs for 2012 (Hekker, McLeod, Harkey, Conrath).by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com

Truly embarrassing to lose by 35 and know it wasn't that close....by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I think they have a combination of guys that can maul in the running game (Whitworth and Havenstein) with guys good on the move on pulls and screens (Corbett, Noteboom) and a decent overall center. You have to scheme with that in mind and I think they did that vs. DAL. They will have some issues in some games and less in others. Washington will be a big challenge overall. But as long as theyby LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Favorite @PHI would be the 1989 wildcard game for sure. Least favorite would be the 2008 season opener, a 38-3 loss that probably should have been 55-3. Rams had 166 yards in the game and 57 of those came on the final series when they kicked a FG. It was SO clear by the 3rd quarter that the season was already over.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I do think as a group they clearly showed knowing their assignments well and coordinating well in the screen game (which was missing last year) and running game. They can all move. As pointed out, Noteboom and Corbett will have some issues sustaining blocks and when they face top tier DL. But they have ability. I think the only question with Whitworth is sustaining him through the entire seasby LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I thought Noteboom showed up pretty well for his first game back. Didn't focus on him directly much but the interior OL overall did pretty well. Yes, they clearly game planned to help them vs. a very good front 7. But that's what good coaching does.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Bruce never returned punts but he did play on special teams units his first two years. Famously blocked a punt in 1995 in the first-ever game in STL and caught a TD pass on the next play.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Havenstein is the other. Brown has beaten a lot of odds. Never had 1,000-yard season in college. UDFA. Yet he stuck around- on the 2015 practice squad, as a 3rd stringer in 2016, on special teams, and slowly up the ranks to the primary backup. And RB is one of those spots where teams are constantly looking for the next, younger guy (i.e. Henderson, Akers).by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
In hindsight he's the most deserving on the team. Will make for a good trivia question 15+ years from now.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com

2001 at PHIL which, by the way, they also won 20-17. Not saying this is the 2001 Rams or anything but they played a tough opponent, did some good things, ground out a win with solid play all around, etc. Good start.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, his 2.8 YPC doesn't tell the story. I thought he showed up well for his first game. Keep giving him the ball 10-14 times per game.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Is it just me, or did (especially early on) it seem like Floyd was throwing himself at the OT, jumping, etc. a lot? Got some good pressure but also seemed sort of out of control, off balance sometimes.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com

Like every team they have things to work on but they played a good team and, from what I saw of other games (portions of NE-MIA and NO-TB, plus highlights from some other games) the Rams looked more crisp than most. Overall around the league it was more like a preseason game with teams shaking off rust, trying to get timing down, etc. Rams showed well. Just was odd at halftime feeling like thby LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
