I think this play/issue is a function of not playing. Seems simple to fix. Though not standing in the way of the ball doesn't seem a coaching point one should have to make. Hekker should own this as the man who has the best view on the situation. Kupp catching and not returning punts is fine for me. Reed needs to stop overrunning his contain on kickoffs thoughby cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Was watching the broadcast again last night. And repeatedly went through the Bears' long run. It was difficult to tell which, if any one in particular, was to blame. Anyone have an opinion on this?by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Anyone surprised Jacob didn't have any offensive snaps versus the Bears?by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
This is a great question. I think optimizing here would definitely improve team's percent change of victory. I think with ninety seconds you stay with your third down and five plus defense. Ignore play action and only play the pass(though this should be always not just this situation). Field position matters alot here. Once past the fifty I think it's best to be very aggressive. Lawler got cut? That's a surprise. They are going light on the EDGE players.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
One of the better ones I've found since hearing of the trade.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
This is a bit silly. How do you think he gets open? He is either an amazing route runner for a rook or he has some physical talent that allows him to separate. Or a combination of both. Big plays happen. Just not even game. Watch the film and see the separation he gets on his routes. He cant control the timing and location of the ball thrown to him.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
I'd put the brakes on a bit. He was consistently late with his throws. And those windows will be smaller versus starters. He was impressive for what he is, a third string QB. Wolf played live against starters in a big situations. Big difference for me than this preseason action. Good problem to have. Perkins definitely has earned a roster spot, non practice squad. Let him keep developing aby cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
On the intermediate route, it looked like tutu was wide open and the ball was late allowing the lb to catch up. Didn't see the whole game but on most tutu targets tutu got good to great separation. I think we will really see his impact with improve QB play. Durability is the key.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Different time but Walter Payton played at 200.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Hope the punters get well or get cleared fast. Totally love the fact we may do for it more often. Knowing at first down you are likely to go for it on fourth will definitely affect early down play calling. I'm pumped.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Oh boy. Good luck Goff but I'm happy my starting QB is Stafford.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
I thought Garret looked good. Held the edge, got consistent pressure. He got pushed around on a couple snaps but he's not a run game player. Garrett makes the team and plays some as a designated pass rusher imo. I was impressed.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Has he ever played a full season in any league?by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
That three cone at 5'8"ish....ouch. Anyone seen this cat move?by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm by no means a Goff fan. However, the time to throw numbers for Goff need to be used with the knowledge that he throws more play action than any other qb. Play action passes take time. So some of the time to throw is system and will reflect in Stafford's numbers as well. Really looking forward to seeing Stafford play. Haven't been this pumped for a player in a long time.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Lombardi is a tool. I don't believe this at all.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
He is a beast. Not a good pass blocker but a monster in the run game. He was fun to watch. I'll check out titans games just to watch him. Rams don't pay safeties, interior oline, or ilbs. Don't see them ever changing. And I agree with it.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
The change was mostly due to running out of numbers from what I have read.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Thanks for sharing. I love it. Whit should have taken 1. Happy to see Rob won the battle for 2.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
I think there is a glich with a few players-davis, jamar johnson, tay gowan--where they last way too long. Jamar you can always get in the fourth with my settings. Yes, it's quite an excellent toy.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Totally agree. I think he'd be an awesome NFL split field safety. Would really like the pick.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Absolutely agree. CB is imo the most important position to address and it's not close.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Our wrs get separation. With Stafford's accuracy he won't have any problem. This offense is going to hum with a QB that can actually read a defense, make progressions, and improvise.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Hard pass. Less crazy the better.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
He's got a great burst for the pass rush. But given how we play the run game I think he is a poor fit for our defense.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Currently the 2021 cap, percent of NFL revenues as dictated by the CBA, is unknown. The speculation is that revenue is down year over year and that will cause a decrease in the salary cap. Around 180 million is the number I have been seeing recently but we will definitely know by the start of the new league year March 17th. For reference, the cap for 2020 was 198 million. Its curious to me how I have not seen anyone bring up Kevin O"Connelly throughout this Goff/Stafford situation. O'connell worked the closest and the most w Goff. Perhaps his opinion helped sway McVay to changing his mind at Qb.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
Dude is a good guy. The reason he was on the team was to perform on the field. His performance was not good enough to keep his job. He got replaced. That is life. I never saw him get insulted. Not talking w people you had a breakup with is natural and healthy. Sean did call him. Goff was the one who had to go. When you breakup w someone you leave them alone so they can adjust to their new lifby cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
I think the Rams handled it fine. It's like breaking up with a girl. The end convo is a total waste if time. And it sounds as if the convo McVay and Goff had about Wolford starting was basically that conversation. McVay and Snead told the media the truth. Goffs performance earned a lack of complete support. The key, to me, is Goff very likely knew where he stood. But any convo w Goff about iby cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com
