Currently the 2021 cap, percent of NFL revenues as dictated by the CBA, is unknown. The speculation is that revenue is down year over year and that will cause a decrease in the salary cap. Around 180 million is the number I have been seeing recently but we will definitely know by the start of the new league year March 17th. For reference, the cap for 2020 was 198 million. Dude is a good guy. The reason he was on the team was to perform on the field. His performance was not good enough to keep his job. He got replaced. That is life. I never saw him get insulted. I think the Rams handled it fine. It's like breaking up with a girl. The end convo is a total waste if time. And it sounds as if the convo McVay and Goff had about Wolford starting was basically that conversation. McVay and Snead told the media the truth. Goffs performance earned a lack of complete support. Thanks for the post. I was optimistic about Goff but he lost me this year. He's hit his ceiling. All the work on handling pressure, throwing off platform, etc...and then to see the performance he put in last year. His accuracy is too inconsistent to be in a dink and dunk offense. He misses too many open reads. Forces the ball too much imo. And is a total disaster in pure passing situations.by cool_hand_luke - RamsFootballFans.com

Well said. I love the deal as well. It was obvious to me after this year Goff is not able to beat defenses in must throw situations like a Super Bowl contender needs from their Qb. You can love where you are but still explore opportunities. Especially in the the NFL. The chance to run your own team seems very tempting. Though I think alot of the interest in him is to pick his brain and get to know him. I would be amazed if the Jets take a one year defensive coordinator as their coach. The passer rating is not a good tool to evaluate. For example, it doesn't adjust for dropped ints, gives full credit for tds where the receiver made the play(looking at you Gerald). The yac throws are important. But most important to the success of this offense will be the ten yard plus air throws in passing situations. Goff his a couple big long third downs last night. Say the money/cap space is worked out...would you all be interested in trading for JJ Watt? He's 15.5 this year and 17.5 next. So the money is a deal breaker I'm pretty sure.
