Bobby Wagner making his presence felt on LA Rams’ defense by Donald Wilson IRVINE, CA Since LA Rams head coach Sean McVay took over the reins of the team in 2017, the Rams have had no shortage of talent on defense. However, one position that lacked elite production during McVay’s tenure is the inside linebacker position. Rams have so many other serious issues that are far more relevant and must be addressed first. Let’s face it. Atwell has apparently been beaten out by Powell even in Jefferson’s absence. Atwell is, at best, 6th WR on this team once Jefferson returns. Don’t think that’s debatable. Some might call that a 2nd round bust but other more charitable posters might just call him a disappointment.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Meanwhile, our Rams are having the following ‘issues’… RB production OL is a mash unit after only 2 games. Technically, down to 4th RG. Alaric Jackson was once behind Shelton, Bruss, Anchrum. Shelton was our backup OC and Boom is dealing with a knee. Jefferson has already missed 2 games and it might extend to 4. We can’t find good edge pressure with current personnel. I guess that I will never understand how the PFF grading system works. For example, I thought that AD had a very ‘quiet’ game.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
What a bad break (no pun intended) for the kid. I was really looking forward to seeing him play.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
I don’t remember seeing AD so ‘quiet’ for 2 games early on in previous seasons, dude. I’m kinda concerned that he may have lost his ‘fire’.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Just a stream of consciousness thing… What’s wrong with Akers? WTH was Stafford thinking with several of those passes? It’s not as if he had to produce a come from behind miracle. Geez… Shelton was a VERY pleasant surprise. Heck, he now looks like our best starting OC, doesn’t he? Rams are probably in no hurry to rush Allen back. Here’s BonifayRam… From my perspective, Coleman Shelton is by far the better fit for McVay/Carberry OL blocking scheme. I not saying that Brian Allen is bad but Shelton just makes better-run blocks period. I still think that David Edwards would be considered if an emergency was needed during the game @ LT. They would keep Alaric Jackson @ RG & go with Jeremiah Kolone @ LG until Brian Alby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Here’s OntarioRam… The O-line was much improved. I do not want to take too much away from a game at home against Atlanta, but it was encouraging to see, and we will see how this group gels going forward. Jackson looked good at RG, and Shelton looked good at C, which inspires hope. It would huge to be able to fill 2 interior o-line positions internally. Very disappointing to see Tremayne Anchruby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Here’s AvengerRam… 1. Seriously... can't we have one relaxing Sunday? 2. Okay... let's start with what I liked... the mix. 3. The OL, with new starters and players dropping like flies, is not ready to stand on an island. McVay realizes this, and knew he had to mix it up. 4. Mix it up by involving receivers other than Cooper Kupp, particularly early. Nice production by Higby (7 receptiby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Turning a wide receiver into a fullback is Sean McVay's latest experiment Cameron DaSilva On the Rams’ first offensive play of Sunday’s game against the Falcons, Sean McVay pulled back the curtain on a new wrinkle. He lined up Ben Skowronek, who’s traditionally a wide receiver, at fullback in front of Darrell Henderson Jr. The Rams came out in an I-formation, something rarely seen frby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Pure speculation on my part, but indulge me for a moment. Is Shelton Rams new starting C? Could Alaric Jackson or Anchrum (when healthy) be new starting RG? Could Rochell or Durant start taking snaps from Long? I mean, a lot of them? Rams need better pressure from edge to be successful. Both edges until Floyd is once again healthy. Deja Vu? Did the LA Rams dismiss the wrong punter(s)? by Bret Stuter The LA Rams appeared to have their Week 2 game well in hand. With 12:13 remaining in the fourth quarter, the LA Rams were ahead by a score of 31-10, and the defense allowed the lone Falcons touchdown after another Matthew Stafford interception.
