IMO, the rams cannot mortgage the future to move up for a TE with our impending need for a QB to succeed Stafford. I wanted Bowers last year, but it is clearer that the RAMs don't have a succession plan for Stafford in place and don't know when the plan could be needed but given the year-to-year approach with Stafford, it could be soon, and they need be nimble when it occurs. The RAMS do not havby montanaram - RamsFootballFans.com
So True!! we pay top dollar for incoming players and seem to run a blue light special for outgoing players. Has to be a great deal more to this story right??by montanaram - RamsFootballFans.com
A shell of what he was during his first tour with the Rams. CB appears to be our greatest need in the off season!!! followed by QB to succeed Stafford and a thumping LB. Glad they pulled out the UGLY win yesterday. UGLY is better than a loss everytime!by montanaram - RamsFootballFans.com
Agree he is very valuable as a pass rusher and run stopper BUT Hoecht in coverage doesnt work!!! rip that page out of the defensive playbook PLEASE!!!by montanaram - RamsFootballFans.com
Agree he was there and was in position to make a play. It seemed to me he could have high pointed the pass and possibly broken up the completion. My issue with Spoon and for that matter, much of the defense is the lack of physicality and aggressiveness.by montanaram - RamsFootballFans.com
Is it likely that no undrafted FA make the Team?? when was the last time that happened with the Rams. I dont see the value in Reeder personally, Speights as a rookie has shown skills and ability that Reeder, as a veteran, has not demonstrated. Reeder is what he is - serviceable. Speights still hasnt reached his ceiling and IMO offers far more. I would choose Speights over Reeder. I also thinby montanaram - RamsFootballFans.com
I would have been happy with Newton in Round 1, perhaps after a trade down. It had to be Edge the way the board fell - so very pleased with Verse - Need met Value!!! I was worried about Worthy - we all know how McVay loves receivers, especially ones with speed. He may turn out to be the next THill but I amnoteady for another 165-pound WR - glad he is off the board. For day 2, i would love to sby montanaram - RamsFootballFans.com

May not be the sole reason but might have been the factor that pushed him over the edge. His relationship with Coach Henny was well documented.by montanaram - RamsFootballFans.com
Head scratcher for sure Alyo!!! never saw Parkinson getting this kind of money??by montanaram - RamsFootballFans.com
a head scratcher to me too. why not the higher tender securing a 2nd in return if he left???by montanaram - RamsFootballFans.com
I wouldn't be shocked if Allen was the only one of the 3 to make the 53 in 2024.by montanaram - RamsFootballFans.com
I am sure all agree that the draft if not an exact science. I am a believer in the best player available approach. The Rams tend to draft a bit more for need and that can result in a forced pick (i think of Logan Bruss or Tutu Atwell as examples). I realize neither of these were 1st rounders but it was highly questionable that they were the BPA. The BPA approach doesn't guarantee success eitheby montanaram - RamsFootballFans.com
for sure! worst special teams unit in the league by a long ways. directly cost us 2- 3 games. assuming Blackburn stays, biggest hill to climb!!by montanaram - RamsFootballFans.com
Very much agree. set your sights on a few players that you want at that spot, aim high, and if they aren't available, entertain trade offers. an extra 2 or 3 would be very helpful and there is no way we are sitting out Round 4. we will acquire a round 4 pick before its all over.by montanaram - RamsFootballFans.com
surprising we couldnt find a kicker or two to add. Is Blankenship retired?by montanaram - RamsFootballFans.com
Our entire secondary needs to be rebuilt. The thought of watching Witherspoon "chase" any longer back there make me nauseous. I can see 4 new starters back there and hopefully a couple that are willing to tackle - wrap up and tackle!! AD needs help in a big way.by montanaram - RamsFootballFans.com
It seems that the Rams PR are coached to fair catch every kick as there have been several instances where there was room for a return. When was the last time the Rams didn't signal for a fair catch. I think the philosophy is secure the fair catch and start at the 25 to avoid a penalty or fumble on a return. STs are a train wreck for the Rams across the board. No return game, the kicking game isby montanaram - RamsFootballFans.com
Not only would it be a mistake but not looking for a long-term replacement for Stafford would be negligence. The Rams have been in need of finding the heir to Stafford for at least a couple years now. Perhaps Bennett was their plan but given his current situation he can't be relied on for 2024. They have to pursue an alternative and can't operate on blind faith. The NFL is a business and similaby montanaram - RamsFootballFans.com
Sunday's performance at QB was just plain embarrassing! Enough with the Schrade's!by montanaram - RamsFootballFans.com
If I remember correctly, Evans was a bit of a primadonna during his recruiting and at least early on in college. Evans seemed to get by with talent in his younger years rather than hard work. I didnt like the pick at the time and think I like it even less now. This feels like Cam Akers 2.0.by montanaram - RamsFootballFans.com
i want the Rams to keep their 1st round pick as much as anyone as i enjoy the excitement leading up to the draft. But, this article suggests to me that teams are trying to maximize their returns on players which, which the Rams seem to have trouble understanding given their recent trades of Woods, Ramsey, Akers, Jefferson (sure there are others). I am not saying these players elicit 1st round pby montanaram - RamsFootballFans.com
i am with you!!! I could go either Porter/Branch or Branch/Porter. Unfortunately, i think the first 4 picks are Porter, Branch, Mayer, Levis leaving us with ????by montanaram - RamsFootballFans.com
Lots of good players on the board and Rams should get a good one even if they elect to move down a bit (I wouldn't but think they will). I dont think the Rams will take a QB this early. Two players on this list worry me: Nathaniel Dell and Drew Sanders. Not that they aren't good players but they aren't good value here for us. The Rams dont seem to prioritize LB but Dell screams McVay with hisby montanaram - RamsFootballFans.com
Just saw on the OTC website that Ashawn's Contract is for $4M APY - must be $4M in performance bonuses - essentially getting a "more solid" 7th round pick than Gaines was getting us. Essentially Gaines was near the bottom of the 32 pick limit given the value of his contract whereas Ashawn's is a bit higher APY and not as near to the 32 comp pick limit. it still appears to still be twoby montanaram - RamsFootballFans.com
Absolutely agree!!! The Rams try to catch lightning in a bottle far too often, it seems. The past 2 years seems to illustrate this with the Atwell and Bruss picks. I know it was said that other teams were targeting these players but we have no way of knowing and I personally dont buy it. Atwell was a reach in every way shape and form. I believe Bruss could have been had later and if not, i thby montanaram - RamsFootballFans.com
The Rams are NOT good poker players. They also work very hard to accommodate the player and put them in the best spot (where the player wants to go) often resulting in a low value deal. (Ramsey to Miami, Woods to Tenn, Robinson to Pitt????). Yes, some of the players are long in the tooth, butits tough to win at poker when everyone at the table can see your hand.by montanaram - RamsFootballFans.com
I dont think they are as I believe both are RFA. i didnt see where the Rams extended qualifying offers. If they didnt extend QOs then they will become FA. I too am hopeful both are not part of the plans, so if I missed something, my appologies.by montanaram - RamsFootballFans.com
I hope you are correct Alyo. Much like many Rams fans, I don't want to trade Ramsey. The 90s are still very fresh in my mind and I am enjoying the ride of being a contender, which Ramsey contributes greatly too IMO! I do think the likelihood of a trade is very real. You know, where there is smoke there is usually fire! Many outlets are saying it and neither the Rams nor Ramsey are denying itby montanaram - RamsFootballFans.com
