i want the Rams to keep their 1st round pick as much as anyone as i enjoy the excitement leading up to the draft. But, this article suggests to me that teams are trying to maximize their returns on players which, which the Rams seem to have trouble understanding given their recent trades of Woods, Ramsey, Akers, Jefferson (sure there are others). I am not saying these players elicit 1st round picks in return but i think most would agree we sold for $0.05 on the $1. This team is better than expected and the defense needs help. Playoffs should always be the minimum goal IMO.
