Quotesfbayram Rams need a new GM. Snead said in February the Rams are using this year as a reset year so they can be aggressive in 2024. It's no wonder so many tickets are going to opponents fans. Season ticket holders want to see a winning team. He doesn't understand it takes a balanced team to succeed. Not a few superstars. Snead doesn't know how to assemble a team for the long haul. QuoteClassicalwit Good detail in this analysis. It confirms what a lot of us have been seeing in the defensive backfield. I, for one, have noticed that the Rams DBs react as if they have no idea where the ball is. It sure makes me wonder what exactly is going on out there. Yeah I've seen the same thing. Kendrick is a big liability back there. Do they not have anybody better than him?by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Agree that McVay can get pass happy at times when it seems it would serve the team better if we ran more. Regarding this season, which seems to be the focus of your post, would we have won those games we lost if we had a more balanced attack? Hard to say...impossible really. But, the fact that we were in each of those games against powerhouse teams (maybe not Cincy) with a roster full of youby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Agree. The issues you have outlined have been present in all 5 games so far. Kendrick and his devastating penalties have been the biggest issue on defense IMO. Hoecht, he shouldn't be covering in the pass defense. He gets burned every single time. Good post and I agree with you on all of it. Honestly, I thought we would start 0-3, but with a few lucky bounces we could be 3-0 instead of 1-2. I think we should beat the Colts to get to 2-2 and we'll see how it goes from there. Our defense is young and inexperienced but they are feisty. Getting Kupp back on the field will help a lot. I put that loss on McVay. It pains me to say that because I love having him as our HC but he just blew it. How can you only run 10 times? How can you not give the backup LT some help? The poor guy was getting schooled. How can you continue to call 7 step drop back passes when your QB has maybe one second to get the ball off? It was mind boggling to watch. Puka reminds me of Kupp in how he plays. He's proven he can get open consistently as has Kupp. With those two guys, plus Tutu, I think we'll have a very potent passing attack (sorry Van, you're out). Quotewaterfield The Rams have a far larger following today than they did during those losing years at Anaheim. Does that mean we are bandwagoners also ? Every team has band wagon fans. This is just my conjecture but I believe the majority of Whiner fans are of the bandwagon type. Back when the Whiners sucked, I did not know ONE Whiner fan. Very impressive. I couldn't believe how well they played on both sides of the ball. Stafford was nails, the OLine was strong, and how about Puka! I see a floor of 3 wins and a ceiling of 6 wins. Our defense is so young and inexperienced that it'll be hard pressed to stop the better offenses.
