Your "logic" might be flawed in this case and loaded with old style dogma.
Maybe they're thinking outside the box here? Just keeping the best 6 WR's makes a ton of sense to me.
Maybe Cooper can be quite effective outside at times, in their mind? He's been a Swiss Army knife in the past, after all.
And Spruce? Why couldn't he take some snaps outside? He certainly did in college, didn't he? How do you keep hands like his on the bench for very long?
I see playmakers in Austin, Cooper, and Spruce. Britt and McRoberts can threaten the top of the D just fine while some combination of the other WR's plus Higbee, Kendricks, and maybe Hemingway drive the D crazy.
Marquez? In my opinion he makes the team because Fisher loves his ST play.
Maybe it's time for some outside the box thinking. I dunno.
