Yeah, our WR situation is kinda up in the air.
Here's my take...
Britt, Austin, and Cooper are locks.
Spruce is a virtual lock. Best hands on the team. Something that any QB and OC greatly values. Might have some ST value, I dunno. BTW, where is it written that he can't get some snaps as an outside WR?
Marquez probably makes it as a ST player. But he's no lock. Marginal value as a WR. Depends on Fisher's priorities, I guess. I can't understand why other players can't be found to play ST. That's how we found C Reynolds, Bates, and Marquez in the first place, after all. Sometimes I think it's almost a case of tail wagging the dog when it comes to ST with Fisher. But I digress...
That leaves only one spot, and that's assuming that they choose to carry 6 WR's. They might not, given their apparent intention to use Higbee and Kendricks extensively. Not to mention that they've been tinkering with Hemingway as a TE/WR hybrid.
But if they DO choose to go with a tall, fast, and big catch radius WR as their 6th? McRoberts has played the best in that role so far, IMO. Pending something really dramatic in the game tonight, I would favor McRoberts as the 6th. Otherwise, what's the point of game time results, anyway? What message does that send the players?
