We went to a Pirates/Astros game..

in Houston when I was, maybe 8, years old.. Saw Clemente play.. Stargell, all those guys.. Game went 17 innings and the Pirates won - that's almost like a double header.. I remember we were in the center field bleachers and the kid next to us had a sign that said "Go Astros!" on it.. The sign was about 6 inches long lol.. For some reason, I've always remembered that lol..

So, always been a Pirates fan.. went to a TON of Rangers games in Arlington and rooted for them.. They almost won it all, but for a stupid play by the center fielder playing too shallow against the Cardinals with 2 outs in the 9th.. I'm sure Mama remembers all the details..

My Pirates heartbreak was against the lousy Braves.. We needed to win ONE game to go to the series and we had Doug Drabek on the mound.. Should have been a GUARENTEED win, but they blew it.. Barry Bonds went like 2-25 the whole series, then was traded.. Pirates fell apart after that and have never really recovered.. Maybe two good seasons in the last 30 lol
