I remember a number of years ago I watched a match for the first time in years. The local guy and fan favorite got the crap beat out of him for 10 rounds. He was of course awarded the decision. A very emotional Larry Merchant pulled the local boxing commissioner aside on air and said "you understand this is why our sport is dying" or something to that effect. I felt bad for Merchant.
