here's a couple pictures

both of my grandparents are in these photos , as they lived only 2 blocks away

this was back when most people still heated their houses with coal , and the trains could'nt get in , so the men had to travel 11 miles away , in freezing temp's with horse and sleigh to pick up coal so people could heat their houses

luckily , we don't usually get that much snow now-a-day , but now we have large equipment to move the snow

but man , they sure had it tough back then
