My cowboy cousin....

in my band is very shy on a mic.... and tends to move around a LOT.... if he's uncomfortable with a certain passage he'll turn his head which means his voice fades considerably. The effect is horrible but we can't break him of the habit. Even during our sound checks he'll do this... making it impossible to set his mic. We have to set it based on the 'average' of where his head will be while singing.
