and never had a problem with them falling apart.. But, for the last few years I've only worn Vans to work.. and not even the high quality Vans - I wear the cheap Walmart version.. I DO have 3 pairs of REALLY cool Vans that I never wear.. Two are Jaws themed Vans and the other is a pair of custom made Vans I had made with my shark/cross logo on them.. They are REALLY cool.. so cool I don't wanna wear them lol..
