They’re still in great shape. I’ve only had to replace the laces once. I don’t know what the style is called down there, but up here they’re called desert boots. They’re black leather (imitation leather?) without any distinguishing logos or labels, so James’ grandchildren would not be able to question my brand choice. For a myriad of other reasons they’d still think that I’m not very cool, however.
