Somewhere in the 3rd Qtr I think?... it began to sprinkle. As in water falling from the sky. We here in central Ca. had never experienced this so chaos ensued...

People were accused of spitting on fellow fans.... accusations of being careless with sodas/water/sno-cones.... and thus... turmoil encompassed the stands... eventually Mom's were beating the hell out of other Moms... kids were being trampled.... cheerleaders were cat-fighting on the sidelines.

Pegge Sue... 5' 1" and 97lbs, our security guard, and I applaud her efforts, immediately drew the only weapon she had... a 3" rubber coated flash light... and attempted to break up the melee'... and did pretty well.... subduing several paunchy Dads before being overrun by a stampeding group representing the "Calculus is Fun" HS club.

Our announcer Phil, who originally hails from Oregon where they are aware that water can fall from the sky, blared over the PA system, "It's just rain people, RAIN, for the sake of humanity get control of yourselves".... all to no avail. Eventually even the announcers booth was infiltrated and Phil was overwhelmed by a group of radical pep girls and the newly installed PA system was destroyed. - JamesJM
