a plane crash in an air races event.. I think the rear trim tab ripped off which sent the modified P-51 Mustang in an almost vertical climb.. they said the pilot would have lost consciousness.. plane then plowed into the ground injuring quite a few spectators..

I had to edit the video as part of my job.. I didn't see them actually eject as the film ended with them yelling to eject.. it was sobering, tho..Back in the 80's we had a T-38 pilot lose control and he ejected, but his plane crashed into an apartment building by the front gate killing maybe 4 people on the ground..
