and then when the crisis is over... well the prices don't come down.
But for McDonalds... our local McDonalds is paying kids as much as someone with a college degree makes. My niece just got a raise as a graphic designer that makes her pay equivalent to someone cooking French fries. There simply aren't enough employees. And its not like the product is better. Eating at McDonalds costs the same as eating out at a non fast food restaurant... ones that have real food.
However, eventually things will settle down IMO... until the next money grab.
