If he advanced electronic drum innovation? Sure seems logical to me.

The innovation in electronics drums is really amazing. They have not yet perfected the nuance ability of acoustic kits but they're getting darned close. Which means... harder to 'cheat'. laughing smiley Although you can probably tweak the kit to cheat if you wanted to. Example:

Double stroke rolls... in other words R R L L R R L L R R L L.... the second strike is where true drum skill shows up... you have to develop the ability to make the second stroke equal in volume to the first... or louder if you can... louder would be: r R l L r R l L. Ya gotta be great to do that, (I cannot). With new electronic's you have to be truly skilled to do that because nuance is built in to the kit... so no cheating. But I suppose you could tweak the drum pad to make every stroke of equal volume no matter how hard you strike the pad which would simulate a 'perfect' double stroke roll... but who would want to do that? You'd lose all nuance. Hmmmmm.... maybe....

They'll come out with a pedal for electronic drums... so that when you want a perfect double stroke roll you hit the pedal to equalize drum stroke force... then hit it again to remove it... hey, you're on to something, Steve... maybe that's the next big innovation in electronic drum kits. You're a genius... and didn't even know it. laughing smiley
