If they would have allowed us to keep any of those dogs, we would have foster failed on 9 of them.. and the one we weren't as excited to keep actually affected me the most when we sent him to New York.. I'll never forget his face in the crate, just looking at us SO sad.. like "what did I do?" It was heartbreaking.. He was adopted, then returned - he was a bit of a difficult dog, at times.. when he couldn't get adopted after being returned, we were ready to fly to New York and go get him..
