Never thought about it when we started watching it , but it was a good Memorial Day movie
as Channing Tatum plays a ex Army Ranger , and has been asigned to take a military dog, Lulu ( Belgian Malinois ) to her former handlers funeral
they kind of mention what happens to a lot of these dogs after they retire , as many are not suitable for adoption
and we also see what happens when these dogs see someone of Arab descent
it's a good movie ,but I wouldn't put it up there with Turner and Hooch , or K9 with Jim Belushi
DOG is simular to other , well , dog movies , a non dog person is in charge of a dog , and they don't like each other at the beginning , then best friends at the end
but unlike Tom Hanks and Jim Belushi , I found Channing Tatum a little on the dull side , even kind of the same for the dog
Belgian Malinois are amazing dogs , and close relative to German Shpherds, right now we have a female German Shepherd named Lily , and I saw more then a few similarities between Lily and Lulu..................lol
incredible athleticism and drive
over all , I give the movie 7/10
a good movie , but a little by the numbers .
