Re: My parents, age 90, still watch that crap

March 16, 2022 02:25PM
It's comforting in the sense there is no "tension". To some that's meaningful. My neighbor from England has a huge TV screen with all the streaming available. He watches three things: Tennis, Antique Road Show, and Doc Marten. I go over with my dog (he loves Pepper-who doesn't?) at night for a gin and tonic and sit there and watch with him. I have to say it's a warm feeling and nothing to get mad or riled up at. Not sure I could do this every night but have been doing it far more often since he lost his wife.

Used to hate that show. Thought it was boring...corny, as a kid. I'd watch the last 20-30 min..
