But can speak a LITTLE German and a LITTLE Spanish.. enough to get me by if in either country, but just basic things..
When the pandemic started, I joined Babbel.com thinking I could get good at Spanish, which would help us when we go diving to Mexico.. I kept up with it religiously for about a month, but never thought I was making any progress and gave it up.. Their system, imo, was not set up very well and it was difficult to retain what I'd learned.. for example, they'd teach you a few words, then throw it into a full sentence with 15 other words you have NO idea what are, and expect you to mosey right along speaking conversations.. for the most part I had no clue what I was saying, half the time..
Maybe Rosetta Stone is a better system.. My mom could speak German, English, and French fluently.. she was much smarter than me..
Friendship is like peeing your pants.. Everybody can see it, but only you can feel the warmth..
