Joe Morello in "Take Five"...by Dave Brubeck... you cannot name a drummer you like that doesn't idolize what Joe did in that song.. It's not that hard... (I can't do it, but real drummers can, and easily).
I often try to express this here, on this board, but one can not do it. Some get it, not necessarily musicians, but most no. Which leads me too...
Something we all know... Ringo Starr... probably the least gifted drummer ever... I think I may be more talented than Ringo....doesn't matter. the man did exactly what it took, and in doing so was beyond brilliant,.
