I like the Napiers show because the budgets are more realistic. Chip and JoAnn are nice but have gotten TOO big, IMO. I also love how on the Napiers show, they will mention who was a prior resident of a house and how long they lived there. Don't know why but I have always liked stuff like that. Being a Firefigter, it was cool going into homes of old folks and hearing they had been there since the late 1940s or EARLIER. But fixer upper.....Just hard for me to relate, at all, when the buyers buy a house for $900,000 with a upgrade budget of another $250,000. It's just pipe dream stuff for me, as I think about price to new Kitchen cabinets in my 135 K house.
