Yeah, that was pretty much my impression, too, just from viewing the trailers. There's nothing "depression-looking" about it even though that's when it takes place. Except that the clothes are a bit old-fashioned, they look brand new. The whole atmosphere of the set is too perfect for a struggling family trying to survive the great Depression. Everybody is really clean cut looking. The clothes look new. The house is bigger. It's just too "new" looking. Whoever did the set design, costumes, and make-up for this re-make should be taken out behind the wood shed! It's a fail.
