and there may be other foods that fall into this category, but off the top of my head Blue Cheese is the only one where this seems true....
There is no middle ground. You either LOVE it, passionately, or you DESPISE IT, with extreme prejudice. I'm in the "love" category.... most of my family is in the 'hate' category... but I don't think I know a single person in the "take it or leave it" category.
I've posted, (several times), that I only know of 2 things I actually can say I "dislike". There are several I won't choose, and seldom eat, but I don't 'dislike' them to the point of not eating them. Those two are: Buttermilk. Sweet Pickles. Now should I taste either I will NOT upchuck... not even close. I don't "like" them but I can get them down. Actually sweet pickles on tuna is more than tolerable to me.. NOT my choice but perfectly ok.
I do not understand people who are afraid of foods.... it makes no sense to me. BUT.. most of you are like that, right? My family is certainly like that, all of them. I know people who in a restaurant will scrap off, or transfer to your plate, foods they dislike... can't even tolerate seeing them. I think they're kookie-putz. - JamesJM
