I really don't care if players get vaccinated or not. I'm not going to tell people what to do. But the league is a business and teams are playing to win, having a starter miss a game because of league protocols - especially in an important game could be a huge problem.

I think private business have the freedom to make the rules for employees, as long as they're within state and federal guidelines. The players union would never allow a player to miss a check because of covid, but it will hurt the team. 2 guys have been waived recently for non sanctioned sports and training activities. If you're not a starter and you miss time cause of covid test - there's nothing to keep the team from cutting you. If I was a depth player or roster bubble guy I'd be damn sure to get a vaccine right away. No reason to give the team any extra incentive to send you packing.
